Love Is The Greatest! No Matter How You Are Treated, You Should Never Respond In Anger; Rather, Choose The Love Way.

Love Is The Greatest! No Matter How You Are Treated, You Should Never Respond In Anger; Rather, Choose The Love Way.

Let all that you do be done with love. 1 Corinthians 16:14

No matter how you’re treated, you should never respond in anger; rather, choose the love way. The love way is the higher and better way. The Lord Jesus never responded to anyone in anger no matter how He was spoken to.

Therefore, no matter how you’re spoken to, always choose the love way, and respond in kindness, and “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt…” (Colossians 4:6).

John 13:34

I choose the higher way-the way of love, the way that glorifies God in my life, and causes my light to shine for all to see. Hallelujah! Amen.

Thank You Jesus.

John_15-12: My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you

John_15-12: My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you

Love Others As Thyself

His Being Crucified Has Proved
This
That He Loves Us So Much

Love Others As Thyself
In Warfare And In Peace
He Has Taught Us To Love Our
Foes
Love Should Replace Hatred

Love Others As Thyself
Jesus Is Warning Thee
We Must Heed This And Get
Prepared
And We Should Love Ourselves

Love Others As Thyself
And Also Thy Neighbours
Including All That Surround You
Love Also All Thy Foes

We Must Love Our Comrades
Just As Jesus Loves Us
Even Jesus Loves All His Foes
He Also Prayed For Them.

Jesus Is All The World To Me

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jesus Is All The World To Me
My Life, My Joy, My All
He Is My Strength From Day To Day
Without Him I Will Fall
When I Am Sad To Him I Go
No Other One Can Cheer Me So
When I Am Sad He Makes Me
Glad
He’s My Friend.

Jesus Is All The World To Me
My Friend In Trials Sore
I Go To Him For Blessings And
He Gives Them Over And Over
He Sends The Sunshine And The Rain
He Sends The Harvests Golden Grain
Sunshine And Rain, Harvest And Grain
He’s My Friend.

Jesus Is All The World To Me
And True To Him I’ll Be
O How Could I This Friend Deny
When He’s So True To Me
Following Him, I Know I’m Right
He Watches Over Me Day And Night
Following Him, By Day And Night
He’s My Friend.

Jesus Is All The World To Me
I Want No Better Friend
I Trust Him Now I’ll Trust Him
When
Life’s Fleating Days Shall End
Beautiful Life With Such A Friend
Beautiful Life That Has No End
Eternal Life, Eternal Joy
He’s My Friend.
Amen!

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

We Love All The Things Of The World

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

We Love All The Things Of The World
They Are Good Before Us
We Love To Stay Long In The World
Not Wanting To Leave Them.

Why Should We Love All Earthly Things
When There’s One World Above
There Shall No Sin Or Evil Found
There Is No Peril There.

The World That Exists In The High
O That Its Known To Us
There Is Joy, Love And Charity
All These Are Found Up There.

In This World, There Are Death Around
There Is No Death In Heaven,
Only The Saints Of God Stay There,
In The Immortal World.

Let’s Follow The Path Of Jesus
Which He Hath Given To Us
Unto The Good And Resting Place,
In The House Of Our God.

Blest Be The Tie That Binds Our Hearts In Christian Love

Ephesians_5-2-2: And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour

Ephesians_5-2-2: And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour

Blest Be The Tie That Binds Our Hearts In Christian Love
The Fellowship Is Kindred Minds
Is Like To Those Above.

Before Our Father’s Throne.
We Pour Our Ardent Prayers;
Our Fears, Our Hopes,
Our Aims Are One,
Our Comforts And Our Cares.

We Share Our Mutual Woes;
Our Mutual Burdens Bear:
And Often For Each Other Flows
The Sympathizing Tear.

When We Asunder Part,
It Gives Us Inward Pain,
But We Shall Still Be Joined In Heart
And Hope To Meet Again.

This Glorious Hope Revives
Our Courage By The Way,
While Each In Expectation Lives,
And Longs To See The Day.

From Sorrow, Toil And Pain,
And Sin We Shall Be Free;
And Perfect Love And Friendship
Reign
Through All Eternity.
Amen!

Romans_5-1: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Would you Know Why I Love Jesus?
Why He Is So Dear To Me?
Tis Because My Blessed Saviour
From My Sin Has Ransomed Me.

This Is Why I Love My Jesus.
This Is Why I Love Him So:
He Has Pardoned My
Transgressions,
He Has Washed Me White As Snow.

Would You Know Why I Love
Jesus?
Why He Is So Dear To Me?
‘Tis Because The Blood Of Jesus

God Watches Over Me Jealously

God Watches Over Me Jealously

Isaiah_41-10: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness

Isaiah_41-10: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness

“But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep.”

John 10:12-13 (KJV)

The hireling flees, because he is a hireling and cares not for the sheep.

We live in a world that is self-centred. It seems as if everyone needs to find out how to survive on their own. There are many who are even willing to sacrifice others for their own survival. Notice that when your life is in the hands of a hireling, when troubles come he will abandon you. Why? It is because you don’t belong to him. He is a hireling. Whatever relationship he has with you is formed from the benefit he is getting from looking after you. But when trouble strikes, he will not risk himself for your sake.

This situation is like when you have a caregiver for your children; when disaster strikes, perhaps it is a fire or a flood, the caregiver will momentarily forget your child and think of saving his own life. It is a natural reflex. Even on a plane you are told repeatedly in the case of an emergency to first secure yourself with an oxygen mask before helping a child. But thank God your Good Shepherd, Jesus, knows you belong to Him. So He will never jump ship during the storms in your life.

He is not threatened by the storms of life. The challenges of life do not get to Him. He is with you every step of the way, and you are a priority to Him. He is committed to you, so He will bring you out of every storm. No matter what you are facing, fear not. Put your life in His hands in full confidence that He knows just what to do. You belong to Him, and He watches over you jealously.

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”. Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

As this new year progresses, I am very confident that the work that the Lord has spoken concerning you will come to pass. There are no “ifs” about it in my spirit. I know in whom I believe and I am fully persuaded of that which He is set to do in your life.

Paul the Apostle, while writing to the church in Philippi, aptly said it in the scripture above; I am confident of the good work the Lord has started in you, and I know He will perfect it. I don’t know what area of your life you need the intervention of God in, but I know that whatever area it might be, God is not only able, He is also willing, and He will surely settle you. God is not a man to lie nor the son of man to repent. His word is so good, it is bankable, because it cannot fail.

Beloved, God’s mind is full of you. He delights in your prosperity. He wants to see you happy and excited, testifying about the faithfulness of God. So don’t allow the situations of the past to keep you bent, cowed, or in despair. Tell yourself that God is working it out and you will see everything turn around for your good.

Beloved, no matter what you are going through, I am confident that God will come through for you. He has not brought you this far to abandon you. He will perfect His work in your life to His glory alone.

The Power Of The Love That Keeps Me From Sin

The Power Of The Love That Keeps Me From Sin

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

“But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.”

Psalm 130:4 (KJV)

Contrary to popular and erroneous religious views, fear does not produce a new creation but faith in the Lord does. Over the years, there’s been the mistaken idea that it is God’s wrath, anger, and judgment on anyone who falls short of His righteous requirements that produces the fear of Him.

To fully understand and apply the Bible, you must know the dispensation that God was dealing with in its different accounts. God dealt with each dispensation differently. You cannot apply His dealings with those under the law as though they were under grace. God deals with the new creation under grace, so you cannot apply the law to it. The new creation enjoys the grace of God.

The text says that it is God’s forgiveness that causes us to fear (revere) Him. It is not His judgment. This sounds contradictory. I thought that you take people for granted when they easily forgive. I thought that it is the man with the cane who is feared and not the one with a heart of love. This situation is true in the natural; but when you understand true love, then you will understand the power of the love that keeps you from sin.

In John 8, a woman caught in adultery received forgiveness and was offered the gift of no condemnation from Jesus. I guarantee you that the woman left feeling deeply relieved, and she likely held the Lord in awe throughout her life. She obviously expected to be stoned to death. I imagine her kneeling with her eyes closed, waiting for the first stone to land on her head, only to hear the Master ask, “Where are thine accusers?” I am sure the woman had died several times in her head because she expected the stoning. But the love of God reached her, and she was totally forgiven. Being delivered from death that she deserved is something that she could not understand. This is grace. Let this grace envelope your life so that you will live in fear (reverence) of God, Amen!

Psalm 130:1-8

Jeremiah 51-52

I Mess Up Every Now And Again, But God Still Loves Me

I Mess Up Every Now And Again, But God Still Loves Me

Ephesians_2-8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Ephesians_2-8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

“Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?”

Romans 2:4 (KJV)

I believe that the time has come for God’s people to truly understand the heart of the Father. Unfortunately, a very misleading picture of God has been painted over the years, leaving the impression that our Father, God, is mad at His children and is watching us very closely to see if we make any mistakes so that He can pass judgment on us. This image has created are a very fearful, distant relationship between God and us. The truth is that we mess up every now and again, so we have a tendency of hiding from God, like Adam did in the garden.

Beloved, while God hates sin, He still loves us so much that He has extended His goodness to us. He will never withdraw His goodness because you have messed up. The scripture tells us that it is His goodness that leads us to repentance. It is not His judgment or His hammer knocking us on the head that leads us to repentance. Look out for His goodness and wrap yourself around Him when you mess up, because He is there to lead you out of your troubles.

Don’t get consumed in your errors; be consumed by His love. I have repeated this teaching over and over again because I realise that it is very hard for people to absorb. Think on it: God loves you in spite of you and is looking forwards to receiving you not when you do right, but right now.

I know that we have been taught over and over again that God’s wrath generates fear in order to keep us from sin. But that doctrine is not in the Bible. All we see in the Bible is His perfect love that casts out fear. Don’t get consumed with the lie of the devil. Stop expecting His wrath. Always expect His goodness. Then His goodness will not only come over you, but it will also overtake you in Jesus’s name.

Personal relationship with God. What’s stopping you from accepting God’s free gift of eternal life right now?

Personal relationship with God. What’s stopping you from accepting God’s free gift of eternal life right now?

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. —John 1:1
What does “the Word was God” in today’s verse mean? It means “face to face with God.” It describes the most intimate kind of communion and union.

Christ left the intimacy and “face-to-faceness” with God… He left the glory of heaven and the majesty of God’s presence… and came to earth.

Matthew_1-21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins

Matthew_1-21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins

Think about that for a moment. Jesus left heaven to be born in a stable… to walk among men on the dirty streets of Galilee. He lived and died and rose again as a human being.

Isn’t it amazing that God would walk among us? But why would He do this?

He did it because He loves you and me… and He wants you and me to come into a personal relationship with Him. But because we are separated from God by our sin, we can’t know God or experience God or get near to God in His absolute holiness. So God came near. He came down in the person of Jesus Christ and paid the price for our sin by dying on the cross.

So let me ask you, how have you responded to Jesus Christ in your life?

If you’ve accepted Him as your personal Lord and Savior, I praise God that you’ve made the best decision you will ever make. But if you haven’t made this decision, what’s stopping you from accepting God’s free gift of eternal life right now?

God came to earth in the person of Jesus Christ and paid the price for our sin by dying on the cross.

If you are lucky enough to find all these characteristics in just one friend, you have found yourself a best friend for life

If you are lucky enough to find all these characteristics in just one friend, you have found yourself a best friend for life

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

Making the important choice of friends certainly reflects who you are and what you love. Due to this, a lot of people make sure they make the right decision since, often times, you make friends for life

Here are the kind of friends everybody should have as they would give you the feeling of having a wholesome life.

  1. The fun friend: Now this is a must-have. The fun friend is the fun-loving buddy that can spot a good time and make sure you are always smiling. They are all about enjoying life and they remind you to find the joy in everything.
  2. The optimistic friend: This kind of friend makes sure you do not wallow in negativity. They remind you of the bright side of things and they always encourage you to see the silver lining in any bad situation.

  3. The successful friend: We all want to be successful in life and since our friends have a big role in making us who we are, it is important that we make friends with successful people. They are full of advice and inspiration. You feel you can achieve more simply because you acquaint yourself with success.

4. The supportive friend: We would find it difficult to get very far in life if we do not have someone in our life who supports and believe in us. The supportive friend gets behind your dreams and ambitions without question. They believe in you.

  1. The brutally honest friend: If you are surrounded by a bunch of people who only tell you what you want you hear, this would lead to problems. The honest friend tells it like it is, no matter how hurtful the truth is. Be it your fashion choices or addiction issues, this friend does not sugarcoat what he/she thinks as they know that their advice is mainly because they want to make you better.

If you are lucky enough to find all these characteristics in just one friend, then you have found yourself a best friend for life.

Love endures long! Let the love of God arrest you

Love endures long! Let the love of God arrest you

Love endures long…..it is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) (and) does not act unbecomingly……(1 Corinthians 13:4-5 AMP)

1-John_4-12: No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

1-John_4-12: No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

When you get to know our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, you will become more humble. When men speak in pride and arrogance, that’s proof – positive that Christ has not been manifested to them; they’re not yet acquainted with Him. For the more you know Him, the more humble you become.

The Bible says, “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith”  (Romans 12:3)

Some people think of themselves more highly than they should, such that they refuse to honour or recognize even those who are actually senior to them. You need to respect others for who they are for that’s the way of love.

There’re some who got offended because they were rebuked and corrected in the house of God; that’s arrogance. There’re some others, who as far they’re concerned, are bigger than everyone, and even find it difficult to greet and show respect to elderly. That’s not Christianity!

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

An arrogant person, no matter how hard he or she tries, will never go far in life. The Bible says “ For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself  shall be exalted” (Luke 14:11). Refuse to be rude, arrogant or proud. God resists the proud and arrogant man, and gives grace to the humble. Some people just don’t know why they can’t seem to move forward and make progress in their lives; it’s because their heart are inflated with pride.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Let the love of God arrest you! Refuse to allow pride or arrogance any place in your life. Learn to be humble. Never treat others with disdain, for love celebrates and honours others, it’s not rude, arrogant or inflated with pride.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! I thank You for giving me a heart that loves, honours and celebrates those around me. I ask that You guard my heart against pride and arrogance as I manifest Your love to everyone in my sphere of contact today, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

God works for the good of those who love him

God works for the good of those who love him

Romans_8-28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose

Romans_8-28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose

In all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28, NIV

Romans 8:28 says, “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” In other words, when you are in the purpose, or will, of God, everything that comes into your life can work for your good. You may immediately question how the loss of your job can be for your good, or how your illness can be for your good. If, by “good,” Romans 8:28 meant your comfort, convenience, health, wealth, prosperity, pleasure, or happiness, we would all question it! But your ultimate good is conformity to the image of Jesus Christ. And when you are in God’s will – “called according to his purpose” – everything God allows into your life is used by Him to make you like Christ. Everything!

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

Today! Someone needs you to be the hands and feet of Jesus!

1-John_3-16-2: Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

1-John_3-16-2: Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

As a New York skyscraper went up, hundreds paused daily to glance up at it. One day they watched a ponderous metal beam go up to take its place in the steel skeleton. As the girder came near, a workman leaned out from the sixteenth floor to seize it. The spectators gasped as he lost his balance and fell. Desperately, he clutched the girder’s end with arms and legs.

The ground crew stopped the hoisting engine, but the man’s weight at one end began to tilt the beam to a vertical position, which would eventually cause him to lose his grip and fall to his death.

With swift decision, another worker on the same floor, seeing his friend’s predicament, leaped through space and landed on the other end, where his weight leveled the beam. Amid the applause of the crowd, both men were safely lowered to the street.

Every day people around us lose their balance on moral and spiritual questions – they consider having an affair with a co-worker, taking company funds, lying to close a deal, toying with drugs and alcohol.

Wrong decisions will hurt them and their families for years and could cost them their souls in Eternity. They need friends who are interested in helping them keep their balance, by leading exemplary lives, by sacrificial living, by speaking a word for Christ. Here on this earth, no one will applaud, but it will be worth it all when we receive the approval of the Master. (1 Corinthians 4:5)

Today! Someone needs you to be the hands and feet of Jesus!

Love Must Be Reciprocated. Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye

Love Must Be Reciprocated. Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

Memorise:
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
John 15:10

Pastor E A Adeboye. Open Heavens. RCCG

Pastor E A Adeboye. Open Heavens. RCCG

Read: John 15:9-10
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

Message
God loves us so much that He gave us Himself as a gift. Giving Jesus Christ to die for us was the same as giving Himself to us (1 Timothy 3:16). But He did not stop there; He went further, pointing out to us in Romans 8:32 that:
“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”
However, love should be a two-way exchange, and not one-sided. If you love someone and your love is not being reciprocated, after a while, something will happen to that love. That love may grow cold or even die.
The same applies to the relationship between God and us. If you check through the Scriptures, you will learn that whenever God does something for someone, He expects them to do something in return. It is one thing to be loved and another thing to abide in that love. While you were in your sins, God demonstrated His love for you by sending Himself, in the person of Jesus Christ, to die for you. When you respond to this divine initiative by repenting of your sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you will be washed by His blood and forgiven. After this, God increases His love towards you, and when you reciprocate, that love increases.

Love begets greater love. If you want to sustain or increase the love that God has for you, reciprocate His love. In today’s reading, Jesus tells us that when He came to earth as a man, He was loved by the Father; but to sustain that love, He had to keep the Father’s commandments. What the Father expected of Jesus is what He expects of us today. There is no way you will continue in God’s love when you deliberately break His commandments or refuse to obey Him. If He has loved you, He expects you to love Him too. He expects your obedience. He also expects you to love other brethren. How have you reciprocated the love of the Lord? Even though afflictions, persecutions, angels, Satan, what we see and what we can’t see cannot separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:35-39), disobedience, manifested by violation of His word, can deal that love a terrible blow.

Action Point:
List some things you have never done that you can start doing to reciprocate the love of God. Do them from today!

Let Us Care For One Another.

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

Hebrews 13:1

Let brotherly love continue.”

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 Thessalonians.4:9

“But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another”

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

INTRODUCTION:

All the children of God need to care for one another. This is what the Lord Jesus Christ expects from every one of us. By this shall all men know that we are His.

1 John 4:8

[He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.]

1 John 4:18

[There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love ]

John 13:35

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

HOW DO WE SHOW CARE, ONE FOR ANOTHER?

  1. By Praying For One And Another.

James.5:16

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

  1. By loving one another.

John 13:35

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

  1. By Giving Good Things To One Another.

Matthew 6:3-8

  1. By Visiting One Another.

Matthew 25:34-40.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me ”

  1. By Encouraging One Another To Stand In Faith.

Colossians 3:16

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

CONCLUSION:

It is the Lord’s command that we should love one another and care for one another. This is a sign that we are His true disciples.

If God spared not His son Jesus Christ, why will He keep back what He has prepared for you?

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

Romans 8:32

If God spared not His son, why will he keep back what He has prepared for you? So the question today is “Are you preparing for good or evil? When you prepare for good, you will attract good. Be a good magnet. When you wake up in the morning, confess good and expect good. The bible says in Proverbs 23:18 For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.” Good will knock at your door. Only goodness is permitted to follow you. No witch can hold you down. Before the witch arrives, God would have already completed everything about you. No witch can take God unawares. God always goes ahead of the enemy. Isaiah 45:2 says “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:” You didn’t start it. God started it and He will not abandon you half way. God knows the enemy will show up but He who has begun a good work in you will complete it.

God does not abandon His project. There is no room for surprise from the pit of hell. He completed you before He started. When you see people stand tall in spiritual things, it is because of what they know. Daniel 11:32 tells us that the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploit. So stand! Dig into the word of God and know Him, then stand tall in Him.

Whatever your situation, understand that you are not alone and you cannot be abandoned. God is by you, with you and for you. God began it; it was not your idea. If He began it, He will finish it. So go to bed and trust God who began this work to perfect it because He is God and God alone. Don’t bother about the witches, you are in Christ. Before they can get to you, they have to go through God and Christ. Fear not, because you are in Christ. If you don’t stand your ground, they will make a mess of your faith.

So much occultism is parading our nation today, so believers must stand their ground for God and He will show you up as His child. Child of God, your tomorrow is bright and your destiny is colourful. Enjoy the goodness of the day. I bless you today.

James_1-19: Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath

James_1-19: Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath

James 1:19 (Amplified): “Understand , my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry.”

We cannot even begin to count how many times this has spared us in doing all God requires us to do. It is, indeed, better to draw in and listen – quick to receive correction too – rather than to speak. In every conversation you engage in today, remember to take the time to listen to what is being said from the heart of others. More than that listen to things unspoken in words too!

Multiplicity in Marriage! Differences In Marriage

Colossians_3-12: Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering

Colossians_3-12: Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering

Put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another.

Colossians 3:12-13, NKJV

Ephesians_5-25: Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it

Ephesians_5-25: Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it

The differences between my husband and myself have been the basis for many fights. My husband likes everything in its place while I never even notice when things are a mess. He is very outgoing, able to recall people’s names easily. In contrast, I am almost a recluse and can’t even remember the faces of people I’ve met.

One day, following weeks of tension and fighting triggered by these differences, we began to make a study of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We recognized our own particular spiritual gifts, and they were totally opposite from each other. This led us to recognize other differences, acknowledge those differences by name, learn to accept them in each other, and then grow to appreciate them for the balance they give to our marriage relationship. I cannot adequately convey the blessing this has been, the peace that has resulted, and the love that has increased between us simply because after years of doing it “my way,” we finally followed the Creator’s wise directions for diversity in our marriage.

True Partnership. You Will Be Surprised And Delighted To See What God Will Do In You When You Choose To Love People By An Act Of Faith.

Luke_6-28: Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you

Luke_6-28: Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you

“Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Pray for the happiness of those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.”

(Luke 6:27-28)

An attorney came to me with that familiar problem: a business partner he could not tolerate. The two men actually hated each other, criticizing and demeaning one another at every opportunity. Rather than speaking of God’s desires for that relationship, each man focused only on the unlovable traits of the other.

I reminded my friend, a new believer, that God’s Word commands us to love our enemies. I further suggested that he go to that other man, tell him he loved him, and ask his forgiveness for the way he had treated him. The attorney’s eyes grew wide. “I could never love him,” he said.

John_13-34: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John_13-34: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

But in the end, he went in faith, confessed his lack of love for his partner, and asked for forgiveness. The partner was astounded. Nobody had ever come to him with such an attitude. He wanted to know how he could experience the kind of life my attorney friend had.

My friend led him to Christ, and they both came to share with me the miracle that God had performed in their lives. As a result, God created a deep and satisfying friendship between the two men. They began to experience God’s supernatural love individually and as a true partnership.

We are saved through faith, by God’s grace. We live by faith. We serve by faith. And we love by faith. You will be surprised and delighted to see what God will do in you when you choose to love people by an act of faith.

This very moment, think of that person who seems so difficult to love. Ask God to help you see that person as He sees him or her. Then step out in faith and take action, based on the right relationship you have claimed in the name and the truth of God.

In Your Relationship With God!

Proverbs_3-6: In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths

Proverbs_3-6: In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths

Proverbs 3:32

He [God] is intimate with the upright.

Your relationship with God can become the most open, trusting, caring, meaningful relationship in your life!

Think of your closest friend. It may be someone you have known since childhood and you have grown to be completely comfortable together. It may be your roommate from when you first moved out of your childhood home and the crazy experiences you had together bonded you so closely. It may be your spouse, the person who knows all your weaknesses and still loves you.

Imagine having that kind of comfortable, intimate bond of love in your relationship with God! Maybe you feel like you would be eager to have that kind of relationship with God, but you are not sure if He would have that kind of relationship with you.

This verse is your answer from God. “He is intimate with the upright.”

That means that if you are “upright”—if you will put God first in your life, if you reject those things that dishonor Him and embrace the things that bring Him joy, then God will reveal Himself to you in a very deep way.

And once you have experienced the nearness of God when He opens up His heart to you and lets you know His presence as you pray—once you have experienced that, you will never be satisfied with anything less.

May God Bless Nigeria, America And Israel And Take Care Of Us; May God Make His Face Shine Upon Us, And Be Gracious To Us; May The Lord Lift Up His Countenance Upon Us, And Give Us Peace, In Jesus Christ Name, We Pray! Amen!

How do you know if you are in a good relationship?

2-Corinthians_5-17-1: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new

1 Corinthians 15:33, “Do not be deceived: Evil company corrupts good habits.”

Show me your friends and I will show you your future! The people you are associating with are the same people you are giving permission to influence and navigate your destiny. The casualties are endless. From the businessperson who selected the wrong partner and went bankrupt, to the troubled, soon to be in divorce court newlywed, who asked their thrice-divorced friend for marriage advice. Who doesn’t know teenagers who started running with the party crowd and found themselves imprisoned by addiction? The proof is undeniable.

John_15-13-1: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

Shady relationships always suffocate wise decisions.

However, the opposite is also true. Befriending honest people, dating people who are chasing God or marrying someone with character and integrity will always bring lifelong benefits. A fulfilled marriage, a God honoring dating life, a successful career or friendships that heal (instead of hurt) are as simple as who you choose to let in the door of your life. Although a mob of different characters will ring your doorbell only you can decide who is allowed to come in.

Proverbs_13-20: He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed

Proverbs_13-20: He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed

TWO KINDS OF RELATIONSHIPS
Once you sort through the currency of relationships there are only two kinds:
COUNTERFEIT
And AUTHENTIC.
One crowd loves things and uses people
and the other loves people and uses things. One group tempts, flatters and tantalizes. They whisper compromise. They encourage immediate gratification. They deceive.
The other crowd encourages and edifies. They promote integrity. They seek what’s best for you instead of their self. They pray.

1-Corinthians_15-58: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord

1-Corinthians_15-58: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord

Wrong relationships pursue life like no one is watching, while the right ones are living like God sees everything, because they know He does!

Are the people in your inner circle honest, faithful, worthy of trust, seeking to follow Christ? Are you becoming a better person and more dedicated believer through their influence? Do they cultivate your strength? If they are not, its time to reconsider the relationship.

Ephesians_4-29: Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers

Ephesians_4-29: Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers

The verse in 1 Corinthians warns against being tricked or deceived. This alarm bell must be sounding because people have tendencies toward the belief that wrong relationships will not influence their good habits. I used to tell my mother not to worry about my troubled friends because my positive influence would change them instead of them changing me. I couldn’t have been more wrong! I was not only swayed by their habits but they swept me under.

Ask God to bring people into your life that will help you and that you can help to become stronger and more Christ like.

Your relationships are pictures of your future.
Amen!

TRUE LOVE!

The plan seemed so wonderful at the time. During the summer of 1969, more than 100,000 people would camp out in a pristine glade in upstate New York where everyone would get along and love each other. This meeting was part of the hippie movement. Their slogans expressed noble ideals: love, not hate; peace, not war. One of its cornerstones was “free love.” Hippies thought they could find love through sex.
The Woodstock Festival culminated a national “Love-In.” But instead of the expected 100,000 hippies, 1.5 million long-haired young people wearing beads and feathers flooded the area for three days.
Was Woodstock really a place of peace and love? Peter Townsend, a member of the band The Who which played during Woodstock, said, “What was going on off the stage was just beyond comprehension—stretchers and dead bodies, people throwing up, and people having [drug] trips…I thought the whole of America had gone mad.”
Tempers flared; people were assaulted. Nudity, sex, and drug dealing were everywhere. And they left behind acres of trash. What was supposed to be a monument to free love and brotherhood was actually a hedonistic mess. Selfishness and a disregard for others reigned.
Everyone wants to be loved. But what is love? Tragically, our world understands very little about true love. We must turn to our Creator to understand what love really is. His love is not just words on a page, but was demonstrated in the deepest kind of sacrifice—Christ’s death on the cross.

Your View of God Really Matters …

Compare the world’s concept of love — self-gratification — with God’s concept of love — selfless sacrifice for others. If we all loved each other as God loves us, what practical effect would that have in your community? In your church? In your family?

This is love; not that we loved God, but that He loved us

John 4:10

This is Love

Love never fails!

Wait a minute, no one has unfailing love! No person can love with perfection.

That’s right. But God is not a person. Unlike our love, His love never fails! God’s love is immensely different from ours. Ours depends on the receiver of the love. Our love will be regulated by appearance or by personality. Even when we find a few people we like, our feelings will still fluctuate.

Does God love us because of our goodness? Because of our kindness? Because of our great faith?

No. He loves us because of HIS goodness, kindness, and great faith. The love of God is born from within him, not from what he finds in us. His love is uncaused, spontaneous. God loves you simply because he has chosen to do so!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s Love

Wandering, But Not Lost

Robert Robinson became a Christian when he was 17. He later entered the ministry to serve Christ with great devotion.

But Robinson was an honest man, and he acknowledged his love for Jesus was not dependable. At times his well of his devotion ran dry. Troubled, he began to write out his thoughts and feelings, and finally produced a timeless hymn, Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing .

As time moved on, he wandered farther and farther from God. He came to feel that the distance between God and himself had become too great to be reconciled. He was miserable man, consumed by his own guilt.

One day, riding in a stagecoach, a young lady was seated across from him. She was filled with the joy of Christ and could talk of nothing else. He was a captive audience. Handing a hymnal across to him she said, “Sir, I’d like your opinion of one of these hymns.”

Robinson looked at the page and found himself confronted by his own words. His throat ran dry. He began to nod slowly, the words finally followed: “I am the man who wrote that hymn,” he said. “Many years ago. I’d give anything to experience that joy again—anything.”

The young lady, although shocked, pointed to the lines he knew so well. She began to speak gently about the “streams of mercy, never ceasing” that were still deep enough to drown his tears. That day Robert Robinson, broken and defeated, rediscovered the love he had left behind.

Your View of God Really Matters …

Do you ever feel, like Robert Robertson, that the distance between you and God is insurmountable. If you don’t have a traditional hymnal, go online and search for “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” . Let the words sink into your heart.

World’s Longest Table

READ: Matthew 26:26-30

I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom. —Matthew 26:29

On Sunday, July 18, 2010, one of the busiest highways in Europe became what some called “the longest table in the world.” Officials closed a 60-kilometer (37-mile) section of the A40 Autobahn in Germany’s Ruhr region so people could walk and bicycle or sit at one of 20,000 tables set up on the roadway. An estimated 2 million people came to enjoy an event the director hoped would connect people from many cultures, generations, and nations.

This event made me think of an even grander table around which believers gather to share the Lord’s Supper. During communion, we remember Jesus’ death for us as we anticipate the culmination of history at His return.

Just before Jesus was crucified, He shared the Passover meal with His disciples, telling them, “I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom” (Matt. 26:29).

The Lord’s Table unites everyone Christ has redeemed by His blood “out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation” (Rev. 5:9). One day, in a scene of reunion and joy, all who belong to Jesus will sit down together with Him at a table that will dwarf the Autobahn gathering. We joyfully anticipate sharing that table together! —David McCasland

Here we gather to remember,
In the breaking of the bread,
Jesus, who for us was broken,
And is now our living Head. —Anon.

Christ’s love creates unity out of diversity.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

A Love Burst

4 days of Evangelism Training in Southern Cali...

A Love burst

“Jesus said to the paralyzed man, ‘I tell you, stand up, take your mat, and go home.’ …The people were amazed and praised God, saying ‘We have never seen anything like this!’ Mark 2:12”

Love bursts! Spontaneous affection. Tender moments of radiant love. Ignited devotion. Explosions of tenderness.

Here’s what I mean. The women you’re standing with at the party start complaining about their spouse, but you look across the room at your husband and smile. Still as handsome as when you met—a bit paunchier, but you don’t see that. All you see is the man who stole your heart.

That’s a loveburst!

When friends of a paralyzed man heard Jesus was in town, they hurried to get their friend to Him. It was his only hope! But Jesus was surrounded—packed into a crowded house. No way they could get inside. Unless, of course, they lowered him through the roof! It was risky. But it was their only chance to see Jesus! The gospel says, “When Jesus saw the faith of these people, he said to the paralyzed man, ‘Young man, your sins are forgiven.’”

Jesus applauds—not with his hands—but with his heart!

And we witness a divine loveburst!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment

Matthew 22:37-38

READ: Matthew 22:34-40

What is the greatest thing in sports? Is it championships? Records? Honours? In the Palestra, the University of Pennsylvania basketball arena, a plaque offers a different perspective on the greatest thing in sports. It reads: “To win the game is great. To play the game is greater. But to love the game is the greatest of all.” This is a refreshing reminder that sports are, after all, just the games we played with joy as kids.

A religious leader once asked Jesus about greatness: “Which is the great commandment?” (Matt. 22:36). Jesus responded by challenging that leader to love—love God and love others. Jesus said, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself’” (Matt. 22:37-39).

Whatever else our faith in Christ compels us to do, there is nothing greater we can do than to show our love—for love reveals the heart of our holy heavenly Father. After all, “God is love” (1 John 4:8). It’s easy to be sidetracked by lesser things, but our focus must remain on the greatest thing—loving our God. That in turn enables us to love one another. There’s nothing greater. —Bill Crowder

When amazed by His love for me,
To love Him back became my prayer.
I sought an answer sincerely—
It was: Love the neighbour who’s there. —Verway

The proof of our love for God is our obedience to the commands of God.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Love And Serve One Another

Love And Serve One Another

Acts 20:18-21

“And when they had come to him, he said to them: “You know, from the first day that I came to Asia, in what manner I always lived among you, serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews; how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”
NKJV

If you are living the same way you did before you met Jesus, then something is wrong. “Do you mean the bad things I used to do… like lying, drinking, and profanity?” Yes, but only in part because this kind of thinking is what’s wrong with the modern day church. We tend to focus on the ‘things’ we have turned from and not on the ‘One’ we’ve turned to. You see, we should be following Jesus. Jesus said “Follow Me” and “DO the things I do.” What did Jesus do? He reached out to the hurting, loved the unlovable, and He challenged the religious people of the day. We have made Christianity all about what we ‘don’t do’ so that when we don’t smoke dope or drink ourselves into a coma, we think we are living the Christian life. Certainly that is part of it, but it is when we love and serve one another that we are really living the Christian life. Look at the difference Paul made through his ministry. The world would never be the same because of the life of Paul.

Paul wrote, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:1 NKJV

What is your commitment to God? You can judge that by your commitment to ministry, to the Church, and to serving others. Think about it. The fruit of our faith should be active. We should be ‘Bible-doing’ and not just ‘Bible-reading‘. It is my job to ask the hard questions and to help you with the answers. Here’s a hard question… Are you making a difference? You probably already know the answer, but if you are not serving the Lord and others, then friend, you are probably not making a difference.

Life Lesson: We should make a difference in this work for God.

Dear Father,
Thank You for the gifts and abilities You have given me. Please forgive me for the times that I have failed to use them to glorify You by serving others. Please give me a burden for the hurting, the unlovable, the unsaved, and for my family in Christ. Give me opportunities to exercise that burden. Lord, I thank You for saving me from the bonds of sin. Please help me to serve You with all of my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Genesis 2:24, NIV

Two Together Forever

Some people may consider the intimate side of marriage as somehow being “unspiritual.” Love expressed in marriage in a mutually respectful sexual relationship is God‘s idea, and it is pure, holy, and pleasing to Him.

Dr. Ed Wheat, a prominent marriage counselor, has pointed out that if the physical side of marriage deteriorates, every other aspect of marriage will soon be affected (Love Life).

When God commanded Adam and Eve to “be fruitful and increase in number” (Gen. 1:28, NIV), He seemed to be saying, “Make sex a priority in your marriage,” not only for the procreation of the race but also in order to maintain the intimate physical unity with each other we were created for.

Growing in Love

[Love] rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things…. Beareth all things, believeth all things,
hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 Corinthians 13:5,7

Let me say something that may shock you but is nevertheless true: You don’t really fall in love with someone until after you’ve been married to them. All the other feel-good things that happen in courtship aren’t
real love. These things aren’t necessarily bad, and you have to admit
that they feel awfully good, but they aren’t real love.

You don’t “fall” in love; you grow in love. You grow love over time,
choosing again and again to take advantage of God’s love and power to
extend love to both your mate and yourself.

This is God‘s plan for marriage. Any time you tinker with God’s plan,
somebody pays a terrible price. Where divorce is concerned, not only do
the spouses suffer but the children get stuck with the painful bill for
their parent’s foolishness. It is always better for a couple to get in
God’s Word and work it out in love, and keep working it out. At least
that way the child sees that a person doesn’t just cut and run when
things get tough. If a child sees a parent run from difficulty, it will
be easier for the child to do the same thing in school, on the job, in
his or her relationships, and in every other area of their lives.

Believe God and stand on His Word. When you do, you’ll get God’s power
involved in your situation. It may appear hopeless, but there’s no
hopelessness with God.

Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,
You are hope. You are life. You are love itself, and You are the One
who can keep my relationships-including my marriage-on a firm
foundation that stands the tests of time and adversity. I run to You
and look to Your Word for love that never fails. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God‘s Love

God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.

Romans 5:5, NIV

Did you know that you are God’s special loved one? Why would He love you so? Maybe it’s because when you abide in Christ you are so saturated in Jesus that when God looks at you, He sees His own precious Son and envelopes you in His love for Jesus’ sake!

As you and I develop and grow in this love relationship with God, abiding with Him through meaningful prayer and Bible reading, getting to know Him on a deeper level as we live out what we say we believe, He fills us with Himself. And “God is love” (1 John 4:16, NKJV). As you and I are filled with God, we will be filled with His love, not only for Himself, but for others – which includes our spouses or the incompatible people with whom we are struggling. God has promised to pour out “His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.”

Love Never Fails

Marriage Day

Love Never Fails

Charity [or love] never faileth.
1 Corinthians 13:8a

God‘s plan for man and woman and for preserving Christian marriage
relationships, in particular, is summed up in a single chapter of the
Bible, 1 Corinthians . When God talks about love, He’s talking about
agape love, the God-kind of love. This love never fails, which means
that there’s no time and no place when it won’t work. A man and a woman
who are citing “irreconcilable differences” as their reason for getting
a divorce don’t have any Word to stand on.

Love suffers long. Real love isn’t a sweet concoction that loses its
power after the first taste or two. The love that anchors marriages for
a lifetime goes way beyond the temporary psychological and biochemical
thrill we call “falling in love.”

Real love doesn’t fade just because wrinkles begin to gather around the
face and middle-age fat deposits begin to gather around the waist. It
lasts through the ravages of time. True love springs from the inner
person.

Envy and pride have fractured the foundations of countless marriages
over the centuries. Rudeness also can create unbearable friction in a
marriage relationship. Love doesn’t have to have its own way. When you
have to have everything done your way in a marriage, you aren’t
extending love towards your spouse; you’re entangling your mate with
control.

Prayer for Today

Father,
I worship You for loving me with agape love, unconditional love. I come
to You with an open heart, asking that Your Spirit empower me to love
others with the God-kind of love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A life filled with love for the Lord and for others is a fulfilling life

READ: Philippians 2:1-4

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also the interests of others. —Philippians 2:4

Harry Tupper is a fishing legend here in Idaho where I live. There’s a spot on Henry’s Lake over on the east side of the state that’s named for him: “Tupper’s Hole.”

The thing I remember most about Harry, aside from his rare ability to catch those huge Henry’s Lake trout, was his dog, Dingo. Now there was a dog! Dingo used to sit alongside Harry in his boat and watch intently while he fished. When the old fisherman hooked a trout, Dingo would bark furiously until the fish was netted and released.

Dingo’s enthusiasm taught me something: It’s better to get more excited about what others are doing than what we are doing.

So, as I read Philippians 2:4 and think about Dingo, I ask myself: Do I spend time thinking about “the interests of others”? Do I get as excited about what God is doing in and through a friend as I do about what He is doing in and through me? Do I long to see others grow in grace and find success, though it may have been my efforts that made them prosper?

This is the measure of greatness, for we are most like God when our thoughts for ourselves are lost in our thoughts for others. Paul said it best: “Let each esteem others better than himself” (2:3). Is that how we live? —David Roper

Love feels the sorrows others feel,
It longs to give support,
And love is quick to take delight
In every good report. —D. De Haan

God’s Sacrificial Love

God’s Sacrificial Love

“If I gave everything I have to the poor, and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.”

(1 Corinthians 13:3)

Many years ago in China great numbers of Chinese people were being seized, bonded in slavery, and delivered to the mines of South Africa. They were forced to descend into the black depths of the earth where gold was mined. They worked long, sunless days deep in the caverns, with no hope—and it was never long before death from suffocation, infected lungs, or perhaps the occasional avalanche delivered the Chinese slave from his life of agony.

Lough Fook, a wealthy man, and a follower of Jesus Christ, took the pains of his brothers to heart. He placed himself on the human slave market and became a coolie slave for a term of five years. He was loaded aboard a ship with the other slaves, and made the sad voyage to South Africa. There Fook toiled in the mines for years, talking constantly about Jesus as he worked.

Every day, one or two more believers swelled the ranks of Christian believers in that darkened pit. The light of Christ shined brightly, and there was hope again. The day arrived when Lough Fook’s own human light was finally snuffed out, but he left behind nearly two hundred who had begun as slaves of the darkness, and now were willing slaves of Christ.

Like Jesus Himself Lough Fook had humbled himself and taken the form of a slave. He had become obedient even unto death. God’s love shining through Lough Fook made it possible. His love is supernatural and can never be extinguished.

Ask God to fill your heart and soul with His love starting today. Then you will see love conquer even the impossible.

He is unconditionally committed to my well-being.

Our loving God is always near—forever by our side

READ: John 20:19-29

Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” —John 20:26

At our church we often sing the beautiful song by Ron and Carol Harris: “In This Very Room.” It begins, “In this very room there’s quite enough love for one like me.” This song reminds me that although there is great encouragement in gathering with other Christians for worship, the important thing is that Christ is present. But it goes beyond that. He is with us not just at church but in every room of our lives.

I wonder where you’re reading this—a kitchen, a coffee shop, a prison cell, a military post? Perhaps you’re in a hospital or a courtroom. It may be a room that reflects everything that’s right in your life or a place that represents all that’s wrong. And you might be afraid.

In the aftermath of the awful reality of Jesus’ crucifixion, His followers met in a familiar room. John records that “when the doors were shut [locked] where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, ‘Peace be with you’” (John 20:19). A week later it happened again when Jesus entered through locked doors to bring peace through His presence (vv.26-29).

Wherever you are today, “There’s quite enough hope and quite enough power to chase away any gloom, for Jesus, Lord Jesus, is in this very room.” —David McCasland

When in the midst of life with its problems,
Bent with our toil and burdens we bear;
Wonderful thought and deep consolation:
Jesus is always there. —Lillenas

Our loving God is always near—forever by our side.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

A Loving Father

A LOVING FATHER

Matthew 6:9, “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.”

MATTHEW 6:9-13

Although God was referred to as “our Father” 13 times in the Old Testament, Jesus’ frequent use of this title brought a whole new understanding of our relationship with God. Jesus referred to God as His father over 150 times, and He spoke of God as being our father 30 times. This infuriated the religious Jews of Jesus’ day who considered it blasphemy to call God their father, because they understood that to mean they were equal with God (Jn. 5:17-18).

This title has become so common in the church today that we, many times, don’t perceive its real significance. The revelation that we are instructed to call God “our Father” reveals the kind, gentle, loving nature of our God (1 Jn. 4:8). Paul amplifies this by using the term “Abba Father” (Rom. 8:15), which is an affectionate term that a young child would use for his father, corresponding to our English word, “daddy.”

We are being instructed here to recognize our relationship with God and praise Him for it. It’s a relationship that goes beyond any human relationship we could ever have here on this earth. It’s a relationship of belonging to a father, who loves us because we are His. Run to Him, drop all pretence and formality, and call Him “Daddy.”

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God is love.

“This is real love – not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” (1 John 4:10)

If you had to summarize God in only one word, what would that word be?

Steve Henning waited fifty-seven years to hear a single word. As a baby, he had contracted spinal meningitis. Since penicillin was being saved for the war effort in 1943, he received no treatment and fell deaf. In 2001, however, a new surgical procedure was developed. The doctors implanted a device in Steve’s ear, but then the waiting game began. The device could only be activated when the swelling went down—and that took six weeks.

When the moment of truth came, the doctors activated the cochlear implant. Steve’s wife was invited to say something, to see if her husband could hear it. She leaned toward him and gently said, “I love you.” A great smile came across his face. The first sound he heard was the affirmation of love.

It is a lesson worth remembering as we talk about God to those who do not know Him. The first and most important words should be affirmations of His love. It’s a beautiful, desirable message that helps the spiritually deaf to hear God saying, “I love you.”

Your View of God Really Matters …

One of God’s most amazing characteristics is His love. It is the most powerful and irresistible force in the universe. Learn to communicate His love as you represent Him to a world that is desperate for genuine love.

The Joy of the Lord is Your Strength.

James 1:2-4 “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”

When we are facing challenges and problems, it is difficult to have joy; but James tells us that this is the key to overcoming those obstacles that are in your life. As a matter of fact the Bible says that the joy of the lord is your strength. So without joy you will be without strength and you will not be able to face and overcome the trials. You can only have joy when you have Faith, knowing that God will not leave you in the lurch and that He will always help you to get through whatever you are facing.

Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth

Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth

1 Corinthians 13:6

“[Love] does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.”

NKJV

Many years ago a popular Christian group wrote a song titled, “Luv is a Verb.” While their spelling may have been off, the truth of the song was not. Love is not simply a feeling or intellectual process but an active expression. This view of love seen in scripture is purposeful and benevolent. It actively engages others, thinking of them above ourselves. Biblical love is not hindered by anything but seeks with passion to be shared with anyone and everyone.

How is this possible? How can we even begin to love in a way that looks for opportunities rather than excuses? Simply put, we plug into the source of love. Friend, the God of all creation left everything in heaven for you and me. He stepped from the throne of God and wrapped Himself in our weak flesh in order to die on our behalf. That kind of love is life changing. That kind of love will fuel our lives so that we too can love like our Savior. Today, seek out an opportunity to love. Whether it’s a kind word, act of service or a merciful response, let’s love like Jesus. That kind of love will never be stopped – no matter how you spell it.

Life Lesson: Love will find a way. A lack of love will find an excuse.

Dear God,

I praise You for the amazing love You have shown me. Help me to grasp this love so that I will be equipped to love others in the same way. Strip me of any excuses and use me to reach others with the love of Jesus. In His name, Amen.

No fear in love

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement: because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fearth is not made perfect in love (1 John 4:17-18)

The reason fear takes a hold of certain people is due to the kind of information they’ve opened themselves to. When someone exposes himself to negative information – news about all the evil, wickedness, disasters and acts of terrorism happening around the world, fear will rise up in him like a giant and bind him.

Fear is the most deployed tool of the adversary. Satan knows if he can get you to be afraid, your faith will not work, for fear hinders faith. This is the reason you must refuse to fear, no matter what happens! According to the Word, you don’t even have to try to fight fear. Our opening scripture lets us know what the antidote to fear is – LOVE! Perfect love casts out fear. This means there’s no need for an effort on your part to dispel fear if you’ll only walk in love; if you’ll only love the Lord and trust in His love.

1 John 5:3 says “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous.” “His commandments” as used in this portion of scripture doesn’t refer to the commandments God gave Moses for the children of Israel in the wilderness. Rather, it refers to the instructions given to us in God’s Word – in the New Testament. So the love of God, which according to Romans 5:5, has been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit is proven each time you act on God’s Word. And remember, acting on God’s Word activates your faith; and when your faith is activated, it dispels fear.

Confession

Dear Heavenly Father, in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, I walk in dominion today, because You’ve given me the Spirit of power, love and of a sound mind! I walk worthy of You today, unto all pleasing, rejoicing that You’re the One causing me to triumph over fear, Satan, and the world. Hallelujah! Amen!

Husbands loves your wives

HUSBANDS,
LOVE YOUR WIVES

Husbands,
love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it
(Ephesians 5:25).

Marriage was
designed by God as a beautiful relationship between husbands and wives. For the
husband, the Bible says he should love his wife “as Christ also loved the Church, and gave Himself for it.” Now,
you know that Christ proved His love for us by the supreme sacrifice of His
life on the cross of Calvary. This gives an indication as to the way and manner
husbands should love their wives: with self-giving and sacrificial love.

That means
the husband ought to be willing to put his wife first, he should protect her,
shield her and be willing to make sacrifices for her. God didn’t make the
husband a taskmaster to his wife, one to be bossing her around and lording over
her. Some husbands love to show their wives who’s boss; if you’re a husband,
you don’t need that. You don’t have to batter or boss your wife into
submission; just love her as Christ loves the church. He loves us, in spite of
our shortcomings and our sins – that’s how husbands ought to love their wives.

The Bible
says,Married men, in the same way, live
with your wives with a clear recognition of the fact that they are weaker than
you. Yet, since you are heirs with them of God’s free gift of life, treat them
with honour; so that your prayers may not be hindered”
(1 Peter 3:7
WNT).  A husband who mistreats his wife
can have his prayers hindered. Things may keep going from bad to worse for him
and he may be crying to God for help, not realizing that his not walking in
love towards his wife is what’s responsible for his dilemma.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank You for the
beautiful and inspiring thought I’ve received today. I realize now, more than
ever the importance of relating with others with Your love. Thank You for
imparting Your love lavishly to my heart, and making me the expression of that
love, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

Love is the greatest

LOVE IS THE GREATEST

I wonder what Love is?

Love is caring for another person so much that you always do
what is best for him or her. Love is not just wanting something badly, having a
warm feeling, or having a crush on someone. Real love is much more than that.
Sadly, television shows and worldly music will most likely confuse one about
what it means to truly love another person. Our friends often are not much help
either.

First Corinthians 13 clearly explains what God means by
love. This “Love Chapter” shows us what love is, how we are supposed to love
others, and how God loves us! Amen!

1st Corinthians 13:4-8; 13 “Love is patient and
kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand
its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been
wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins
out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures
through every circumstance.

Love will last forever!……………..There are three
things that will endure – Faith, Hope, and Love – and the greatest of these is LOVE!

May The Almighty GOD prosper Nigeria
and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Beloved, let us love one another: For love is of God; and everyone that loves is born of God, and knows God. He that loves not knows not God; for God is love

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

BELOVED, LET US LOVE ONE ANOTHER: FOR LOVE IS OF GOD; AND
EVERYONE THAT LOVES IS BORN OF GOD, AND KNOWS GOD. HE THAT LOVES NOT KNOWS NOT
GOD; FOR GOD IS LOVE (1 JAMES 4:7-8)

The Lord Jesus asked Peter three times, “Do you love me?”
and He insisted on a respond each time (John 21:15-17). Though Jesus knew Peter
loved Him, He wanted him to say it. In Matthew 17:5, God the Father, spoke from
heaven of His love for Jesus. You see, God doesn’t only love, He talks it too.

Some people find it difficult to say, “I love you.” Some
parents find it difficult to say to their children, “I love you.” “My kids know
I love them”, they’ll say. If you ask them how they came about that conclusion,
their response may be, “I feed, house and educate them; so they ought to know I
love them.”

Well, that’s not good enough. Convicts in prisons are fed,
housed and even clothed and it’s not that the government loves them; rather,
it’s out of their responsibility. “I love you” is part of the love-language in
the Kingdom of God. Therefore, as God’s child, you must train yourself not only
to demonstrate love through your actions; but also speak its language.

When Christ fills your life, it will become easy for you to
talk love. The Bible tells us that God sent Jesus because He loved you and not
that you were very nice and kind (Romans 5:8). You’re a product of love. When
you begin to think this way, you’ll see others through the eyes of love; you’ll
see them the way God sees them, as valuable and priceless. You’ll also learn to
say, “l love you” not out of weakness, but out of the understanding that love
is the greatest power in the universe. Make up your mind to speak the language
of love always. Even if you were treated badly or spoken to in an
uncomplimentary way, refuse to respond with harsh or bitter words. Remember
that “……the love of God is shed abroad in
our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us”
(Romans 5:5). You are
a love-child of a love-God, therefore, let your words be full of love.

CONFESSION

The love of God has been deposited in my heart by the Holy
Ghost, and I walk in love every day of my life. I refuse to walk in malice,
anger and bitterness. I am a love-child of a love-God. Amen!

Faith, Hope and Love

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

And now abideth faith, hope, love,
these three, but the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Faith, Hope
and Love are the three creative principles of the human spirit. They are also
abiding principles, as indicated in our opening verse. This means that when all
else fail, these tree principles will remain; they’ll never pass away.

Animals
don’t have and can’t exhibit these principles, for they are qualities of the
human spirit. They are factors that help us understand and appreciate the
yearnings of the human nature. They help explain why we are the way we are, and
why we do things the way we do. When you get to understand faith, hope, and
love, you’ll understand yourself much better and also understand things about
God that you never knew.

Like all
laws, these three principles of faith, hope, and love don’t function on their
own; they must be applied or acted upon. Faith, hope and love are in your
spirit, but that doesn’t mean they are going to work on their own. You’re the
one to make a choice to act your faith, to always be hopeful towards God and to
walk in love.

With your
faith, you can do anything (Matthew 17:20): then, Romans 5:5 tells us, that
hope never disappoints.

The reason
hope doesn’t disappoints is that the love of God is shed abroad in our heart by
the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). Love in your heart gives life to your faith, for
the Bible says faith works by Love (Galatians 5:6). When you activate these
three principles in your life, you’ll be extraordinarily productive.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank You for granting
me understanding of faith, hope and love; I function today with these higher
principles of the kingdom, and declare that they’re producing positive
supernatural results as I put them to work
in my life, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

TODAY’S CHOICES FOR TOMORROW’S GREATNESS. GREATNESS.

English: Resurrection of Christ

English: Resurrection of Christ (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

TODAY’S CHOICES FOR TOMORROW’S GREATNESS.
Some people believe they have to be dishonest to prosper or be successful in life. That’s wrong! You don’t have to ride on other people’s backs or cheat to make ends meet. So, don’t fall into that worldly deception.
Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men…” (Matthew 5:16): He wants you to be worthy example of Himself; He wants you to set a good example for the rest of the world to see and follow. “Show men that there’s the right way of doing things” (Paraphrase mine) He says. If there’s a thing as a lie, it must mean there’s such a thing as truth. If there’s the counterfeit, it means there’s the genuine one. In other words, if there’s a dishonest way to have a prosperous life – which of course will get you into trouble – it must mean there’s also an honest way. Otherwise, dishonesty will cease to be dishonesty and become the right way to do things.
There are people who say that they live in the real world, and by that they mean the Word of God is too good to be true. Meanwhile, they’re suffering terribly; business is bad for them; money isn’t coming in as it should; everything is just upside down. That’s not from God. If that’s your experience about life I want you to know that you can change it. It doesn’t matter who gave birth to you. Even if you were abandoned in a garbage dump by your mother. You can no longer regard that, because you are now an adult. Your life now depends on your choices.
Life ought to be beautiful; life ought to be exciting. That’s the life that I have chosen because God gave us the options and He told us which one is better (Deuteronomy 30:19). Anybody can live a happy, successful, prosperous and victorious life. From the moment you received Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you became an heir to health and prosperity.
CONFESSION
My life is for the glory of God alone. Therefore , I refuse to engage in an activity of darkness. I choose to do only those things that’ll bring glory to the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:5)

The Bible tells us in 1 John 4:8 that “God is love“; His very nature is love, and you have His love-nature in you as one who’s born again. That means all of God‘s love is in your spirit, so you can’t have more of God’s love than you already have today. According to our opening scripture; “….the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:5). The question then is what are you going to do with all of this love that’s in your heart?

John 3:16 gives us an example of what to do with the love of God, it says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son….” God so loved us and reached out to us even at a time when we didn’t know Him or care about Him! He sent Jesus to win us and reconcile us to Himself, not counting our sins against us. He did this for us in Christ Jesus.

And now the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:19 that God has committed to us the ministry of reconciliation. We have the responsibility of reconciling others to Him. We’re to reach out to our world; to the hurting and the loveless that have no hope and give them the love of God that’s in our hearts.

But to do this you need to be filled with the spirit; you actually can’t share God’s love except you’re filled with the spirit. So if you haven’t received the Holy Spirit, you can do so even now. Say this in faith: “Heavenly Father, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I receive the Holy Spirit into my heart to live in me, to help me share your love to others, Amen!”. The Holy Spirit is the One that energizes you to do the work of God and share His love with others.

PRAYERS

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love that’s in my heart; it’s the same great love wherewith You’ve loved me! I make a difference in my world today as I touch everyone I meet with Your love. The world will see and acknowledge your love in my life to the glory and praise of Your Holy Name, in Christ Jesus’s Name. Amen!
