Jerusalem On High

Acts_1-8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts_1-8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Jerusalem On High
My Song And City Is
My Home Whenever I Die
The Centre Of My Bliss.

Oh Happy Place! When Shall I Be
My God, With Thee, To Sse Thy Face?

There Dwells My Lord, My King
Judged Here Unfit To Live
There Angels To Him Sing
And Lowly Homage Give.

The Patriarchs Of Old
There From Their Travels Cease
The Prophets There Behold
Their Longed For Prince Of Peace

The Lamb’s Apostles There
I Might With Joy Behold
The Harpers I Might Hear
Harping On Harps Of Gold

The Bleeding Martyrs They
Within Those Courts Are Found
All Clothed In Pure Array
Their Scars With Glory Crowned.

Ah, Woe Is Me, That I
In Kedar’s Tents Here Stay
No Place Like That On High
Lord, Thither Guide My Way.
Amen!

Jerusalem, My Happy Home

Name Ever Dear To Me!
When Shall My Labours Have An End,
In Joy, And Peace, And Thee?

When Shall These Eyes Th Heaven-Built Walls
And Pearly Gates Behold,
Thy Bulwarks With Salvation Strong,
And Streets Of Shining Gold?

There Happier Bowers Than Eden’s Bloom,
Nor Sin Nor Sorrow Know:
Blest Seats, Through Rude And Stormy Scenes
I Onward Press To You.

Why Should I Shrink At Pain And Woe,
Or Feel, At Death. Dismay?
I’ve Canaan’s Goodly Land In View,
And Realms Of Endless Day.

Apostles, Prophets, Martyrs There,
Around My Saviour Stand
And Soon My Friends In Christ Below
Will Join The Glorious Band.

Jerusalem. My Happy Home,
My Soul Still Pants For Thee!
Then Shall My Labours Have An End
When I Thy Joys Shall See.
Amen!

Are You Frustrated. Does God’s Work In Your Life Seems To Go At A Snail’s Pace.

Jeremiah_29-11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end
Jeremiah_29-11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end

“’For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the LORD. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’”

(Jeremiah 29:11)

Does God’s work in your world seem to go at a snail’s pace? Do you feel frustrated that real change in your nation, your neighborhood, your family – your own soul – takes too long? Imagine how God’s ancient peoples felt.

After Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem (586 BC), the Judeans who were taken into captivity questioned whether God had abandoned them. They struggled to understand how God’s promise could be true that a descendant of David would always rule as king in Jerusalem (2 Samuel 7:13; Psalm 132:11-12). They grappled with their future: How long would they live in exile? Should they attempt to keep the Mosaic Law or adopt the laws of the Babylonians and their gods?

In the midst of these difficult times, Jeremiah offered the people hope: God had plans for them—plans for good and not for disaster. Through Jeremiah, God affirmed that He was still in control and still cared about His people. Years later, a group of exiles returned under the leadership of Zerubbabel and rebuilt the Temple (536 BC), with more returns and renewal in Jerusalem under the leadership of Ezra (445 BC). And 400 years after that, He fulfilled His promise of a king through Jesus, a descendant of David.

It only takes a moment for us to read that snippet—“400 years”—but it was 10 generations for the Judeans. In this day of modern conveniences, we quickly grow weary praying for personal or societal circumstances. But God’s people have always waited on Him (Job 24:1; Psalm 38:15; Romans 8:19). Modern Christians sometimes feel hopeless and abandoned—like the Judeans in captivity—but we can trust that God’s plan, while often taking an achingly long time to come to pass, is certain to succeed.

Because God is faithful,

I will trust Him to always keep His promises.

May God Bless Nigeria, America And Israel And Take Care Of Us; May God Make His Face Shine Upon Us, And Be Gracious To Us; May The Lord Lift Up His Countenance Upon Us, And Give Us Peace, In Jesus Christ Name, We Pray! Amen!

God Has The Last Say. RCCG. RCCG Open Heavens. Redeemed Christian Church Of God. Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye

Memorise:
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
Isaiah 54:10
Read: Joel 3:16-17

3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
3:17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

Isaiah_54-17: No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD
Isaiah_54-17: No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD

The situation in the world is steadily becoming alarming. Big and strong economies are becoming shaky while some are crumbling already, even though trade is expanding with mind blowing technological breakthroughs and rapid succession of invention of devices across every facet of human endeavour. Violence in various forms of inhuman treatment of man by fellow man is also on the increase. This includes terror activities, civil disturbances, kidnappings, rapes, murderous acts, drugs, human trafficking and sale of human beings as mere commodity etc. All these and several more are pointers to any child of God that the end of all things is fast approaching and that these are not the days to live carelessly.

Matthew_24-42: Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Matthew_24-42: Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

These happenings are at a stage that any observant mind will sense palpable fear in the world, just like the Bible said it would be (Luke 21:26). For you a child of God however, you need not panic in your heart because God has given you an idea of the events that will occur in these last days. He also has given you His promises of hope and has put His Holy Spirit in you. One of such promises is in Joel 3:16:
“The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.“
It is required of you as a child of God in this end-time, to get close to the word of God in order to see global events in light of what is written in it. This will give you hope and encourage your mind on how close the eventual return of our Lord is. His return means release from earthly pains and limitations for you, but the beginning of sorrows for those who don’t have a relationship with Him.

Nevertheless, you need to know that the children of God that will do valiantly in these last days, are not those who only depend on feeding on the word of God that they hear via public ministrations, but those who go beyond this by spending time with God in His word through private study like the Berean brethren (Acts 17:10-11). Great strength for the race comes from this. In these evil days, you will not be a victim but a victor in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point:
Pray that your focus will remain on making Heaven and that you will remain fervent in spirit and steadfast in the love of God.

Amen!

May The Grace The Lord Jesus Christ, And The Love Of God, And The Fellowship Of The Holy Spirit Be With You All. Amen!

Knowledge Is Limited. RCCG Open Heavens. Redeemed Christian Church Of God. Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye. Daddy G O

Memorise:
I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.
Ecclesiastes 1:16

Read: Ecclesiastes 1:14-18

14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
15 That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.
16 I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.
17 And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit.
18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

Message

Wisdom is commonly defined as the correct application of knowledge. Wisdom therefore feeds on knowledge, and the type of knowledge applied determines the type of wisdom you get. According to the Bible, there are many kinds of wisdom. There is the wisdom of words in 1 Corinthians 1:17, the wisdom of the world in 1 Corinthians 1:20 and the wisdom of God in 1 Corinthians 1:24. I am happy to inform you today that the only wisdom that is reliable is the wisdom of God; all other kinds of wisdom are grossly inadequate and limited in all ramifications. May the Lord open your eyes to see the inadequacies and limitations of human knowledge and wisdom in Jesus’ Name.

King Solomon was a man who God blessed with great wisdom. He said of himself in Ecclesiastes 1:16 that he had more wisdom than all who lived before him in Jerusalem, and that he had great experience of wisdom and knowledge. His fame as a wise king was so great that powerful kings and queens from kingdoms far and near visited Jerusalem to pay homage and to see things for themselves. However, despite the fame and success of this wise king, he could not hide his disappointment when he said: that which is crooked cannot be made straight, and that which is lacking cannot be supplied. He went on to say that with great wisdom comes great frustration and whoever increases knowledge merely increases his heartache. Obviously, the frustration and disappointment of King Solomon was as a result of his false impression that by wisdom, man could examine, redefine, redesign, correct or improve on the work of God.

Children of God may want to deny this fact, but it is a truism that haunts all great people. We tend to ascribe so much importance to human knowledge and wisdom far beyond its scope and real ability. Knowledge and wisdom are tools created by God to assist human beings to worship and glorify God through total obedience to His commandments. What good is knowledge and wisdom to the Almighty God if not for this purpose? Anything other than this is vain. Searching for knowledge for the sake of it is sure to leave anyone that will pursue such in a state of dryness and emptiness. I therefore pray that all your efforts in life will not end up as chasing after the wind in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point:
Father, please give me great wisdom and help me to use it for Your glory.

Amen!

God Knows Those That Trust In Him. Why Expectations Fail. RCCG Open Heavens. Prayer Points And Sermon By Pastor E A Adeboye. Daddy G O

God Knows Those That Trust In Him. Why Expectations Fail. RCCG Open Heavens. Prayer Points And Sermon By Pastor E A Adeboye. Daddy G O

Memorise:
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Nahum 1:7

Read:
Jeremiah 29:1-13

1 Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;
2 (After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;)
3 By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying,
4 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;
5 Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;
6 Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.
7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.
9 For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.
10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Message

Some expectations don’t come to pass and there are reasons for that. It is a painful experience to see your expectation fail. WHEN EXPECTATION IS BASED ON ASSUMPTION, IT WILL FAIL (Deuteronomy 1:42-44). Great expectations are founded on God’s promise. By simply assuming that you will succeed in certain businesses just like others, you are setting yourself up for failure. Some Christians invest their money into projects without God’s approval, only to have their expectation for dividends fail. Basing your expectation in marriage on physical qualities like beauty, good stature and good physique will surely lead to failure (1 Samuel 16:6-7). Elements of physical beauty can be misleading (Proverbs 31:30). Some single ladies today are learning the lesson of humility in a hard way. They trusted in their beauty and expected that it will earn them prompt marriage, a good husband and a happy home. Many of such ladies are crying in their closet today because they have realised that any expectation not centred on God will fail.

“And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies. So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the hill. And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah.”
Deuteronomy 1:42-44

In the above passage, the Lord did not approve of the children of Israel going to this battle. But to them, approval from above or not, they assumed they would be victorious. They got their soldiers ready and their expectation of victory was intact. Unknown to them, no expectation will ever come to pass if God is not factored into it. They fell on their faces when they should have lifted up their voices in songs of victory. EXPECTATIONS FAIL WHEN THEY ARE BASED ON LIES (Jeremiah 29:8).

EXPECTATIONS FAIL WHEN THEY ARE BASED ON CONNECTIONS AND THE POWER OF ASSOCIATES. No association can replace God without consequences for those who put their trust in such associations (Jeremiah 17:5). Nowadays, Christians express disappointment in fellow Christians because truth has been compromised. If you don’t think twice before you jump at what those so-called Christian associates have to offer you, your expectation will fail to your surprise.

Prayer Point:
Pray that God would enlighten the eyes of your understanding to discern those expectations of yours that do not align with His purpose for your life.

Amen!

May The Grace The Lord Jesus Christ, And The Love Of God, And The Fellowship Of The Holy Spirit Be With You All. Amen!

Israel’s ‘ETERNAL MEMORIAL’ A Light To Never Forget

Israel’s ‘ETERNAL MEMORIAL’ A Light To Never Forget

JERUSALEM, Israel — Nearly 70 years have passed since Germany’s Third Reich systematically wiped out at least 6 million European Jews, about a million and a half of whom were children.

Memories of that horrific genocide are still very much alive in the mind of Israelis.

An estimated 125,000 people survived the camps and thousands of others were in other places. Eight-five-year-old Asher Udd is one of them. He often talks to groups at Yad Vashem, Israel’s main Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem, about how he survived.

Udd, who calls his survival a “miracle,” said he never questioned God during his time in the concentration camp.

“Through the war, I didn’t ask questions. I was busy, every second, every minute, every hour, maximum every day to fight to stay alive. I didn’t inquire,” he told CBN’s Scott Ross.

“Today, if you ask me, ‘Anshel, how did you survive?’ I say I didn’t run away; I didn’t fight. I’m not religious but I point upstairs. I believe in God,” he said.

AN ‘ETERNAL MEMORIAL’

Many feel it’s important to commemorate the past and also to educate this generation to prevent a similar tragedy in the future. That’s what Yad Vashem is all about.

Robert Rozett, director of Yad Vashem Libraries, spoke with Ross about the Holocaust and anti-Semitism, then and now.

The museum’s name comes from the book of Isaiah, where God promises to create a “yad vashem,” which in Hebrew, really means an “eternal memorial.”

While Rozett doesn’t believe a holocaust would happen today in the same way, he said Jewish people must be on guard because some anti-Semitism is genocidal.

“Well, first of all, anti-Semitism… is at the heart of the Holocaust, right, because the Nazis have a hateful ideology that’s racist and anti-Semitic. And their racial arch enemy is the Jew,” he explained.

“And that’s also, again, part of an unfolding anti-Semitism that’s been with us in the Western civilization for about 2,000 years,” he said.

When asked whether there is a correlation between Islamic terrorism and this Jew hatred that occurs today, Rozett replied, “It’s fundamentally very anti-Semitic.”

“That, of course, doesn’t mean that all Islam is that way,” he added. “That kind of Islam at times really talks in genocidal terms… If you listen to (former President Mahmoud) Ahmadinejad and Iran, several years ago, it’s already threatening Israel, you know, with the right to exist.”

Rozett said that although the Holocaust is over, anti-Semitism really never went away.

CHRISTIAN-JEWISH RELATIONS

Still, Rozett notes that nowadays he sees an improvement in Jewish-Christian relations. Even during the Holocaust some Christians and others, like Oscar Schindler and Corrie Ten Boom, risked their lives to save the Jewish people.

Susanna Kokkonen, director of Christian Friends of Yad Vashem, spoke with Ross in an area called the “Avenue of the Righteous” about the Gentiles willing to risk their lives for the Jews.

“They were people who were non-Jews and they were willing to risk their lives to help a Jewish person by hiding them or by giving them food or different things,” Kokkonen explained.

“And we have trees planted for these people. So, here for example, we have the tree of the Ten Boom family from Holland. But Corrie Ten Boom’s tree actually died when Corrie died. And they had to plant a new tree.”

“This is going to be a big tree one day but it’s for the next generation, and so were good deeds of these people,” she continued.

“They may have saved one person, but that person went on to have a family, and it means that they saved the next generation,” she said.

Up to a million people visit Yad Vashem each year. Kokkonen said many of those visitors are Christians.

In 2006, the museum decided to establish the Christian Friends of Yad Vashem, an outreach program toward the Christian world.

“I feel that on one hand there are some Christians and some Christian leaders who have really studied that period (the Holocaust),” she said. “And they really want to know what happened, why the Christian world was unable to see the Jews as their neighbours.”

SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS

But many wonder where the Christian church was in 1933 when Adolph Hitler and the Nazis came to power in Germany.

“I think if we look at Christian leaders, the people who were responsible, the people who were leading other people, we see that they were unable to recognize evil,” Kokkonen explained.

“And I think it was that blindness, that spiritual blindness that made them unable to stand,” she said. “And if you look at Hitler, he offered a religion. You could say that there were two religions in Germany at that time: Nazism and Christianity.”

Kokkonen also said it’s possible the Holocaust could happen again in a different way.

“When you look at political processes, and you look at legislation, mass murder never starts as such,” she told Ross. “There’s always a preceding period of changes in the society when things become more acceptable to people.”

A CLEAR MANDATE

When asked what gave her a love for Jews, Kokkonen said, “I love the Bible.”

“But I also feel that when you look at Israel here in a sea of hostile countries, you can clearly see what light it presents, what Israel brings to the world and how God miraculously brought this nation back to their ancient homeland,” she continued. “And I think that we as Christians, we don’t have a choice. The Bible is very clear.”

Part of Kokkonen’s work includes running a Christian leadership seminar to educate leaders from around the world.

Despite Israel’s past and the ongoing presence of anti-Semitism, she remains hopeful for the future of the Jewish state and the Christian church.

“Because God’s word is so clear that He is Israel’s future, and He is our future,” she said. “So we have every reason to be hopeful. And whatever we will have to go through, He is going to give us the strength.”

God Resist The Proud, But Gives Grace Unto The Humble.

God Resist The Proud, But Gives Grace Unto The Humble.

…God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. James 4:6

Rejoicing is a form of humility.
Mark Hankins

In II Samuel 6, the Ark of the Covenant was coming into Jerusalem. The Bible says when the ark came into the city, King David danced before the Lord with all of his might. The scripture says he threw off his royal robe and danced in his under clothes because of the glory that was coming back! David loved to be in the presence of God!

After he danced before the Lord, David fed the entire nation. When he went to bless his household, his wife told him that he looked like a fool. She despised him in her heart because of his response to the presence of God. David responded to her by saying, “I will yet be more vile than this. I will humble myself in the sight of the people and I will lower myself in my own sight,” verse 22.

When David was rejoicing, it was a form of humility. If you are more concerned with what people think about you than what God thinks about you, you will never walk in victory. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up!

Confession:
I will rejoice in the Lord and humble myself before Him because He resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Amen!

Today, As You Think About Your Relationship With God, Remember That The Holy Spirit Is Your Guide To Life In Christ

Today, As You Think About Your Relationship With God, Remember That The Holy Spirit Is Your Guide To Life In Christ
READ: Titus 3:1-11

According to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. —Titus 3:5

By the time he was 16, Morris Frank (1908–1980) had lost his sight in both eyes. Several years later, he traveled to Switzerland where he met Buddy, the canine who would help to inspire Frank’s involvement with the Seeing Eye guide-dog school.

With Buddy leading the way, Frank learned to navigate busy sidewalks and intersections. Describing the freedom his guide provided, Frank said, “It was glorious: just [Buddy] and a leather strap, linking me to life.” Buddy gave Morris Frank a new kind of access to the world around him.

God’s Holy Spirit gives us access to abundant spiritual life in Christ. When we accept Christ as Lord, God washes our sins away and renews us “by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior” (Titus 3:5-6 NIV). Once we know Christ, the Holy Spirit helps us experience God’s love (Rom. 5:5), understand God’s Word (John 14:26), pray (Rom. 8:26), and abound in hope (Rom. 15:13).

Today, as you think about your relationship with God, remember that the Spirit is your guide to life in Christ (Rom. 8:14). —Jennifer Benson Schuldt

Holy Spirit, Light divine,
Shine upon this heart of mine.
Chase the shades of night away;
Turn my darkness into day. —Reed

The Holy Spirit guides us into knowledge and spiritual growth.

Bible in a year: Judges 1-3; Luke 4:1-30
Insight

In the book of Titus, Paul instructed his younger co-worker Titus on how to teach believers in the young church of Crete to live holy lives. Paul emphasized the importance of godly leadership (Titus 1) and of gracious behaviour within the church family (ch.2) and in society at large (ch.3).

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Message

There is nothing tangible that can be achieved in an organisation, family or mind without a peaceful atmosphere. This is why when the world was characterised with chaos in Genesis 1:1-3, the first thing God did was to restore peace to the chaotic world. I pray that the peace of God will be your portion today in Jesus’ Name. There are factors that can guarantee peace in the life of an individual, particularly a child of God. One of them is contentment. 1 Timothy 6:6&10 says that:

“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

Many people lack peace because they are not contented with what they have. They dabble into some nefarious activities in search of the material things of this world which lead to stress related diseases. We must beware not to run after the material things of this world which do not bring satisfaction, or those things that attract undue responsibilities, or those things that hurt when they have flown away. Also, avoid the abuse of things which bring discomfort like piles or stomach aches and other illnesses to your body (Proverbs 25:16). How do you cultivate contentment? Contentment is developed when you endeavour to enjoy the present blessings of God in your life and give Him glory for such benefits (Ecclesiastes 5:18-19, Psalm 103:1-5).

“Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Philippians 4:5-6

Other truths about having peace are revealed in this passage: One of such truths is that, to have the peace of God, you have to be moderate in your lifestyle without hypocrisy. Another is: do not be anxious for anything, or else you will lose your God-given peace. How then do you survive in a competitive world where the essential things of life are scarce? The next truth answers this: make your request known to God. He is Jehovah-Jireh, the Great Provider. He will meet you at the point of your needs. It is when we obey what the Holy Spirit admonishes us to do here that the peace of God will keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. I pray for you that the peace of God will come mightily upon your troubled body, soul and spirit today in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point:
Pray for the peace of God to reign in your entire life, family, church and nation today.

Amen!

May The Grace The Lord Jesus Christ, And The Love Of God, And The Fellowship Of The Holy Spirit Be With You All. Amen!

I May Lose Weight, But I Can’t Lose God.

I May Lose Weight, But I Can’t Lose God.

Isaiah 54:10
‘For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed,’ saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

There are times when we feel God has left us to struggle on our own. No matter how we pray, how we plead, it seems no help will come to us. The temptations mount, and our strength and will-power get weaker and weaker. This is where faith comes in. In those times we feel God is absent from us, we must believe that He is still there. God will never leave us, no matter how we may feel. He stays constant for His children. Nothing can move God from our hearts, and we need to know that. God will give us strength in time of need. He will not abandon us, ever.

Today’s thought: I may lose weight, but I can’t lose God.

Amen!

May The Grace The Lord Jesus Christ, And The Love Of God, And The Fellowship Of The Holy Spirit Be With You All. Amen!

God’s Remembrance And Deliverance III. RCCG Open Heavens. Prayer Points, Action Points And Sermon By Pastor E A Adeboye. Daddy G O

Memorise:
Remember me, O my God, for good.
Nehemiah 13:31b

Read:
1 Samuel 1:17-19

17 Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.
18 And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.
19 And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.

Message

One truth the children of God must continue to remember is that it takes divine remembrance to daily experience deliverance in their lives and ministries. The best way to explain this is to interpret “remembrance” as “attention”, because God is never forgetful. In Isaiah 49:15 God said:
“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.”
So, God does not forget, but He may decide to ignore you if you continue to live in sin.

One person that experienced divine remembrance was Hannah. The Lord remembered Hannah by paying attention to her prayer in answer to Eli’s prayer. 1 Samuel 1:17 says:
“Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.”
Hannah was under the bondage of barrenness for several years, but when God remembered her, she was delivered from the bondage of unfruitfulness. To someone using this devotional, I pray that the Almighty will remember and deliver you from all forms of bondage today in Jesus’ Name. Let us learn from Hannah what she did to draw divine attention to herself and her situation. First, she prayed earnestly and fasted for God’s attention. At times we need to demonstrate our seriousness concerning what we really want God to do for us by embarking on prayer and fasting. Jesus taught His disciples this truth in Mark 9:29. In addition, for God to remember you in your unpleasant situation, you have to cooperate with Him by playing your own role. My experiences have revealed to me the mistakes some children of God make as they expect God to play their own roles together with His. This ended at Calvary where God suffered as a man, but there He declared: IT IS FINISHED. If you are looking for a job, write applications and go out to attend interviews because God will not write an application letter for you, neither will He attend the interview on your behalf. Sufficient is the fact that He will back you up during the interview. The Bible reveals something that many may not pay attention to which, of course, was fundamental to the divine remembrance of Hannah. What is it? 1 Samuel 1:19d says that:
“……and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.”
What could have happened to Hannah’s prayer if she and her husband did not play their part in this regard? Beloved, let us cooperate with God, He will remember us for good in Jesus’ Name.

Action Point:
Pray, fast and take steps under the guidance of the Holy Spirit concerning that situation that is bothering you. You will experience divine remembrance and deliverance.
