Memorise.

For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Luke 1:37

Read: Psalm 103:1-5

1 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Message.

God the Almighty is the source of greatness. To achieve greatness, you should please God. However it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). FAITH is therefore THE MASTER KEY TO GREATNESS (Mark 11:22-24). Faith is built up by the constant hearing of God’s word (Romans 10:17). Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, David, Jesus Christ and Paul all had unshakeable faith in God on their way to greatness. Faith in God is the eternal elixir which gives life, power and action to the impulse of thought. Faith in God is the only known antidote for failure. Faith in God contains the seeds of achievement and greatness. God has promised us greatness and His promises for us are yea and Amen. Have faith and plug into this promise. Don’t quit even if there are minor delays or you run into seasons of contradiction (Habakkuk 2:2-4). The just shall become great by His faith.

Having faith in God helps you not to consider the weather or prevailing economy before you sow your seed or give to God (Ecclesiastes 11:1-4). Fruitless people are stingy people. STINGINESS, especially with God can never lead to greatness. PATIENCE is another ingredient of greatness. This means waiting on the Lord for His time to come to pass. Joseph waited for 13 years, Moses waited for 40 years while Jesus waited for 30 years. God has a reason for His timing. It might take long but it will surely happen if God has ordained it (Hebrews 10:35-39). The time of waiting is a time of preparation (2 Chronicles 27:6). Preparation precedes greatness. You don’t become a boxing champion overnight, neither do you become an anointed great man of God in one day. Greatness that comes suddenly or that is gotten by surprise will be lost suddenly by surprise. Watch out for those who manipulate their way into occupying an office, especially in the ministry of the gospel. If you don’t wait for your time patiently, you might become great, but your crash from greatness will equally be great. Greatness comes to people who maintain a good attitude in the period of waiting. You must have an attitude that believes that with God all things are possible. In addition, you should honour God. Recognising the source of greatness helps you to get connected to its source. All those who were divinely connected in the Bible ended up as great people. Recognising the source of greatness helps you to tap into the covenant of grace, wisdom, empowerment, humility and anointing for greatness (Genesis 41:16). Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Daniel, Jesus, Paul and all those who recognized God as the Source of greatness and gave Him the glory ended up being great. You can also do the same.

Action Point.

God has made every provision in His plan for you to be great. Do not write yourself off. Choose not to remain small.

Thank You Jesus.

Are you the faithful steward?

Luke 12:42 “And the Lord said “who then is that faithful & wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?”

God needs people whom He can work with to get His Will done here on earth. He needs someone who will be faithful and act on His Word. Someone who is alert to the move of the Holy Spirit, knows His Word and will be obedient to it. God needs people He can count on, whom He can trust over His household.

Are you the faithful steward?

Resurrection of Christ

Acts Of Gratitude.  The Gift Of Grace Is Free

READ: Micah 6:1-8

What does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? —Micah 6:8

Few people knew me better as a boy than Francis Allen, the pastor who led me to Jesus Christ. A fire-and-brimstone preacher in the pulpit, he was a near-perfect example of the gentleness of God’s love outside of it.

Early on, Francis recognized a tendency in me to try to “buy” approval by working harder than expected and doing more than people asked. “These are good traits to give as gifts to others,” he would tell me, “but you should never use them to buy acceptance and love from people—or from God.”

To help me understand this, he told me to read Jesus’ promise in Matthew 11:30 that His “yoke is easy”—a statement that sometimes seems too simple to be true. Then, pointing to Micah 6:6-8, he said: “Now read this and ask yourself if there are any gifts you can give God that He doesn’t already have.” The answer, of course, is no.

Then he went on to explain that God cannot be bought—the gift of grace is free. Since this is true, what should be our response? “To do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God” (v.8). I learned that these were acts of gratitude—not of purchase.

Let Micah 6 be a reminder that grace is free and that faithful living is our grateful response. —Randy Kilgore

We’re saved by grace through faith alone,
Good works can have no part;
But God rewards each loving deed
That’s done with all our heart. —D. De Haan

Good works are not the means of salvation but the result.

A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps

A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps

Finding Something New in Something Old

Written by Jim Coleman

“A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” -Proverbs 16:9

Twenty years ago, my father needed a stint placed in one of the arteries of his
heart. My father was thin, and so am I. The fact that his heart needed attention
got my attention, so I decided immediately to get my heart, and general health,
in better shape. I started a jogging routine every other morning, early – about
6 a.m. for 30 minutes. My goal has been to get my heart rate to at least 120 beats
per minute and keep it there for the entire 30 minutes. I’ve always managed to run
about 2-12 to 3 miles within this time period.

One morning last December, I knew I had to get up especially early to have breakfast
with a friend. I didn’t want to awaken at 5:30 a.m., so I decided to jog the night
before. I was in for a treat. It was Christmas time, so when I began my run at 9:30
p.m., many of the homes I usually ran past in the rising morning sun had their Christmas
lights on!

It was beautiful! What a delightful surprise…house after house after house…lights,
lights, lights…in all different arrangements…some all white, others sparkling
with many colours. I saw inflated Santas, reindeer, elves. I saw twinkling palm trees,
Christmas trains, Christmas packages, and Nativity scenes. I had blast!

I found my thoughts and eyes dancing, and before I knew it, my run was over – the
time had gone by much faster than usual because my soul had been absorbed in the
splendour of all the magnificent Christmas lights.

I confess that I do have the habit of falling into routine. I think most people
would say that I’m fairly predicable…probably all of us are in some way or another.
However, there’s tremendous joy in discovering new pleasures – sometimes even in
old places.

Our glorious and gracious God created the Universe. We live within a single solar
system of that Universe, on a planet that fortunately has various levels of predictability
– “routine” aspects – that we all depend upon. For instance, the sun comes up every
morning and sets every evening. Yet, God in His wonderful plan for you and me provides
variations on this theme…through the seasons of the year…the rising and setting
of the moon…various weather conditions…etc. Variables within predictability
– God is good, God is wise, and YOU are made in His image! How exciting!

What routines have you established in your life? You depend on these routines; we
all do. We each have an individual way of approaching our activities, our relationships,
and our acquisition of knowledge. This is what makes you unique from all of the
other millions of persons in the world around you. But, what surprises, what new
discoveries await you by altering your routine just a bit – or even a lot? How
could you let the Lord direct your steps more today?

PRAYER:

Lord, thank You. Thank You for all that You’ve created that I can predictably depend
upon. Thank You, too, for all of the wonderful variables. You are glorious in all
ways. I praise You. Amen.

Have you ever thought about varying your routine to embrace new and exciting possibilities?
Are you willing even to think about it? To try it?

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God is looking at the good you have done in your life and encouraging you to continue

Nehemiah rebuilding Jerusalem

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Godis looking at the good you have done in your life and encouraging   you to continueNehemiah 5:19 Think upon me, my God, for good, according all that I   have done. . . .

I want to give you an encouraging   word today that I wholeheartedly believe is from the Spirit of God. God wants   you to know today that He is focusing upon and remembering the good things   you have done. He sees the good in you! When Nehemiah led the effort to   rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, he asked the Lord to focus on the good he had   done. (Nehemiah 5:19) On multiple occasions, Nehemiah asked God to remember   and reward him for his good deeds (Neh. 13:22 & 31). Of course, the enemy   always wants us to believe that God is busy pointing out our mistakes.   However, God is not a finger pointer! The devil is the accuser and wants you   to think God doesn’t pay much attention to the good things you do. The devil   wants you to believe God focuses more on your shortcomings. That is the   farthest thing from the truth.

God is looking at the good you have   done in your life and encouraging you to continue.

He sees you through the blood of   Jesus. God is your biggest fan and wants you to continue doing what is right   so you can enjoy the harvest of something great that is destined to emerge   from your life.

So be confident because God is focusing on the good in you today. Just lift your hands to Him right now and like Nehemiah, say, “Lord, think upon me for good!”

May The Good Lord Save Nigeria And Israel From All Our Enemies And Prosper Us Beyond Our Imaginations, In Jesus Christ Mighty Name We Pray, Amen!

In the kingdom of God, we won’t be given any great opportunities until we are proven faithful in the small things

In the kingdom of God, we won’t be given any great opportunities until we are proven faithful in the small things

MINISTRY IN ACTION

Mk. 1:31, “And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.”

MT. 8:14-17; MK. 1:29-34; LK. 4:38-41

How did Peter‘s mother-in-law minister unto Jesus and His disciples? Did she sit them down and preach to them? Certainly not. Yet sometimes people think the only way we can minister to another is to admonish them with the scriptures.

Peter’s mother-in-law apparently ministered to them by serving them. The word translated “minister” is the same word that was translated “deacon” twice in the New Testament, and “serve, served or serveth” eight times.

We can minister for the Lord by doing some of the menial tasks that many consider to be unimportant. Jesus said that even a cup of cold water given in His name would not go unrewarded (Matthew 10:42).

Many people are waiting for the important jobs to come along where they can make a big impact or receive a lot of recognition, while they pass by many lesser opportunities every day. But in the kingdom of God, we won’t be given any great opportunities until we are proven faithful in the small things (Luke 16:10).

Today, ask the Lord to show you ways you can minister to others by serving them.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made

You are fearfully and wonderfully made

You are unique!

You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Do you know that there is something unique about you? There is something special in you that will make the world regard you. No matter how poor, neglected or downtrodden you are, you have what it takes to be at the top.

The tendency is for people to look down on you. They will evaluate you based on their yardsticks and write you off. They will say you can never make it to the top. They will say you can never make it in life. Don’t believe their lies! Whenever somebody or a situation tells you that you are less than who God says you are, then return to God’s word and verify, for the picture of who you are is in the Bible. Anything that fall short of that picture must be rejected; such is not your portion. Always believe and confess what God has spoken concerning you.

You are a bundle of solution! You are a solution to your world! Believe it or not, like Moses, there is a problem that only you can solve. There is a gap that only you can fill; you are indeed unique.

To discover and fulfil your purpose on earth, you need to have a personal relationship with the one who has a blueprint for your life – The Lord Jesus Christ.

Give your life to Jesus by confessing your sins to God. He will forgive all your sins and wash you clean with the Blood of Jesus Christ. Accept Him as your Personal Lord and Saviour, forsake all other things. Study His Word and live by it. Pray regularly, asking for His direction in all your ways. If you have given your life to Christ by taking the steps above, then CONGRATULATIONS!  Never think about the negative impression people have about you. YOU ARE UNIQUE! You shall succeed in life in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!
