LORD Is My Shepherd This Christmas, I Shall Not Lack

LORD Is My Shepherd This Christmas, I Shall Not Lack

Psalms_23-1: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want

Psalms_23-1: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1 (KJV)

Stop and think: what is the relationship between the sheep and the Shepherd? If you understand it clearly, you’ll stop all forms of struggle.

The sheep is totally dependent on the Shepherd. It follows the Shepherd without questioning because it believes and is fully convinced that the Shepherd has his best interest at heart. That’s the same thing God expects from us. He wants us to follow Him without a plan B. He wants us to know that He is fully aware of our needs and is ready to give us all that we need. That is why David, the shepherd boy, likened God to the shepherd and boldly declared, “I shall not want.”

Beloved, God wants you to rest in confident expectation that He has you in mind and that His thoughts towards you are thoughts of good. He desires to give you an expected end. Your mind cannot comprehend the full picture. All you need to do is follow God. He will take you step by step and in the end you’ll arrive at His ordained destiny for your life. God has your entire life figured out. He knows the end from the beginning; He knows the challenges that you’ll face along the way. He has the solutions all figured out.

There are times when the pasture does not look green, but don’t take a detour. What you see on the other side is only a mirage. Don’t be deceived. The devil has nothing good in store for you. Something may look good now, but you’ll discover that the temptation was all a lie.

In this season, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, make a commitment to follow Him every step of the way. Commit your ways to Him, and He will perfect everything.

Compliments of the season!
