“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert”. Isaiah 43:18-19 (KJV).

Isaiah_41-13-1: For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee
Beloved, when God says remember not the former thing, He is not suggesting that you should not have a reference point, but He is commanding you to forget about what you have always known, so that you can experience something new in your life. Understand that the God you serve is not static but dynamic and so you cannot put Him in a box. When He says He will do something new about your marriage, job, business or finances, He is not intimidated by how bad the economy may be or by how big your problems may be. By that prophetic declaration, He is actually raising the benchmark concerning your life. In other words, He is showing you how far He is ready to go for your sake so that when you think you have known Him, He shows you yet another side of Himself.
Learn from the experience of Peter in Luke chapter five and let your confidence be in God alone. You must learn to say like Peter, “nevertheless at thy word, I will let down the net.” I challenge you to lean heavily on the word of God and learn to “let down” your expertise, connections, excellent job profile, human abilities, so that He can truly take charge. Remember that He alone can make a way where there seems to be no way. Even when you slip on the banana peels of life, He is still the only one who can turn it around and make it work for your good.
I challenge you to continually put your trust and confidence in His word. There is no way you can fail. Let the economy go under: the Most High will lift you up. You will show forth the praise of your God. In the same place where they said you could not succeed, God will open up new vistas and opportunities for you. Rejoice today because a new season has come for you and it is a season of celebration.
