There Is God’s Supernatural Power In The Words I Speak

I want to share something with you today that many believers have yet to understand. It’s a truth that can help you stay at peace, knowing the power that is yours in Christ Jesus. I think that’s why I’m so excited to write this letter—I want you to see that…

There is supernatural power in the words you speak.

When our Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again to be seated at the right hand of the Father, the Bible tells us that we as believers were also seated in Christ at the right hand of the Father (Ephesians 2:4-6).

Today, seated in Christ at the Father’s right hand, you have divine authority! Because of this, your words carry incredible, divine, and supernatural power.

Beloved, the words you speak have life-giving, creative power. What you choose to say sets in motion the kind of life you are going to live.

And more specifically…

The words you speak by faith in the days to come will positively influence the direction of your life in 2016.

Let’s look at what that means for you and your family as you approach a brand-new year. If you’ll believe that God’s Word is true and speak His promises over your life in faith, you’re going to see greater things in the year to come…
•Improved health
•Restored relationships
•Increased provision
•Renewed youth

And these blessings are just the beginning…there is no limit to the grace and goodness of God through Christ Jesus!

It is amazing to see what Jesus taught about faith and the power of words in Mark 11 after He had cursed the barren fig tree.

The disciples were astonished that the unfruitful tree had withered just as Jesus had commanded it to. It was at this moment that Jesus taught His followers about the connection between what you believe and what you say.

Look carefully and you’ll see it…

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Did you catch it? Jesus used the word “says” three times, but He mentions “believes” only once.

Beloved, can you see that while right believing is important, it needs to go hand-in-hand with speaking words of faith? When you believe something, you speak it out (2 Corinthians 4:13).

Jesus mentioned “says” three times and “believes” only once because…

Giving voice to what you believe strengthens your faith and anchors your heart on God’s promises for your life.

That’s why your words are so important. Not only can you speak faith into your situation, you can speak life to your soul. So say…
•“I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!”
•“I am healed. My body is growing stronger. I am whole!”
•“I have the favor of God. Good things happen to me and through me.”
•“My sins are forgiven. I am unconditionally loved by my heavenly Father.”

When you declare your righteousness, forgiveness, and healing in Christ, hope, faith, and strength rise in your heart. It determines how you respond to challenges, how you unlock God’s power in your circumstances and the direction your life will take.

Speaking life over every situation,
