“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.”
James 1:2-4 (MSG)
When tests and challenges come your way, consider it a gift! Instead of praying for God to remove tests, consider allowing the tests to develop you. Learn the necessary lessons so the next time a challenge shows up, you are even better prepared and equipped to handle it. Know that God is with you and inside of you. With Him, you can withstand the weight of any pressure situation.
In sports, the best coaches and players practice every possible situation and scenario that could occur in a game, no matter how small the likelihood that it will happen. The purpose is to minimize anxiety and maximize success under high pressure. For you there is no situation that God is not able to handle. Put the pressure on Him to bring you through it and allow your faith to grow.
Father, I thank You for being able and willing to deliver me through any test or challenge. I put myself in remembrance of all the times You have come through in the clutch for me. I choose to trust You to handle the pressure of leading me to victory. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
