The Next Time You Are Under Attack After A Victory, Cling Unto God’s Word

Psalm 119:28 “My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.”

Sometimes our biggest struggle with discouragement comes after a victory.  I’ve learned that often after God does something big in my life, it’s time to get ready for a battle. It’s usually not long after that the devil starts chiming in. Logically, it makes no sense. God is opening doors, but the devil is quick to place doubts in my ears regarding the outcome. If you’ve ever had a similar experience, I’m sure you can relate.

If you’re not careful, you can allow those doubts to rock your core. That’s why it’s so important to focus on whose words you’re listening to. You see, God doesn’t include words like insecurity, fear or doubt in His vocabulary when it comes to your life. What God says about you, is that you are loved and that His plans are to give you hope and a future. His instructions for you are to be strong and courageous. All of His words are the opposite of what the devil tries to get you to listen to.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ

The next time you’re under attack post victory, cling to His word. That’s where our strength comes from. That’s what will get you through. Look at what God has already done and take heart in the fact that He’s not finished yet. God has a plan for your life and it’s not the same one the enemy is chanting in your ear.
