Men Ought Always To Pray And Not Faint
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint” Luke 18:1 (KJV)
A lot of times men are quick to give up. You have prayed over an issue once, twice and by the third time, you begin to give excuses maybe it is not the will of God for me to have the miracle; maybe God sent the challenge to punish me. Maybe, maybe, maybe. But beloved, don’t let the devil rob you of your miracles by explaining it away. I challenge you today not to faint in the place of prayer. The answer might appear delayed, but stand firm and immoveable. Refuse to give up. Tell yourself if anyone should give up, it is the devil.
The scripture above is a parable of Jesus to encourage the believer to stand his or her ground. The widow had come to this judge that was described as godless he neither feared God nor regarded man, so he can be safely assumed to be a hard man. In spite of his hardness and attitude, the widow refused to give up. She stood there and stood her ground until the wicked judge answered her positively. Jesus quickly asked the people, if an unjust judge can give in and grant her request, how much more their heavenly Father?
God is not walking around and looking for the next sinner to kill. No, He loves you. Yes God hates sin, but do you know He loves sinners? He is not waiting at the edge for you to miss it so He can punish you. No, He is your loving Father. His thoughts towards you are thoughts of good and not evil. When you miss it, don’t run from Him, run to Him and He will restore you. God does not have love, His very essence is love. He loves you no matter where you are today. When you surrender into His hands, then, He takes you where He wants you to be.
Be like the widow woman, don’t give up. Keep asking and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door shall be opened to you. Don’t give up, your miracle is here.
