PRAISE DEFEATS THE ENEMY

PRAISE DEFEATS THE ENEMY

2 Chronicles 20:21-22 (NKJV)

And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever. Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

If you are looking for deliverance, for salvation to come to a situation in your life, you should begin with thanksgiving and praise to God. The walls of Jericho did not fall until the marching was complete and shouts were sounded.

Joshua 6:20 (NKJV)says, “So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.”

The enemy did not become confused and fight among themselves until the praise singers were put in front of the army (2 Chronicles 20:24). We are to shout to God with the voice of triumph before the triumph comes (Psalm 47:1).

What is your problem today? Quit waiting for God to deliver you before you praise Him. Shout now and your walls will fall. Romans 8:37 (NKJV)says, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” See yourself a winner, begin to act on God’s Word, and watch it come to pass.

Are You Walking In Wisdom And Faith?

Are You Walking In Wisdom And Faith?

Esther 5:4

“So Esther answered, “If it pleases the king, let the king and Haman come today to the banquet that I have prepared for him.”

NKJV

The book of Esther is an amazing book. While not mentioning the name of God, it clearly displays the work of God in the life of His people. Esther was one of those individuals who was given power and placed in a role to change history. Sometimes, we think that following God means random acts of faith. While faith is crucial, we must also remember that we are called to be wise in our actions.

In Esther 5, Esther is using great wisdom. She has a hard message to take to the King, but rather than blurt it out at the wrong time, she is preparing herself and the king for the important conversation. People say, “I don’t have to use wisdom, I am using faith.”God gives us wisdom, creativity and intelligence to use. Esther used the wisdom, guided by faith, to bring about amazing results for the people of Israel. Are you walking in wisdom? Do you consider all the options; make a plan of action for your life, ministry or family time? We all could be more like Esther, intentional in our actions and lead by God’s wisdom. Even today, let’s prepare ourselves for ministering to others and then step out with faith to get it done.

When We Walk In Faith, Wisdom And Boldness, Incredible Things Can Happen.

Dear Heavenly Father!

Thank You for the Bible that helps me understand how I am to think and act. Help me to grow in wisdom and to be intentional with my life. Give me opportunities to step out in boldness to love, give and share my faith. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Yield To The LORD’s Discipline!

Yield To The LORD’s Discipline!

You must submit to (and) endure (correction) for discipline; God is dealing with you as with sons. For what son is there whom his father does not (thus) train (and) correct (and) discipline? (Hebrews 12:7 AMP).

Even though you have the Holy Spirit, if you’re not acquainted with Him, your manner of life wouldn’t reflect the character of the Spirit. This is because it’s the Holy Spirit that helps you discipline your mind. Therefore, you have to yield your mind to Him in order to be able to reflect His character. This is done through fellowship with the Spirit and submission to the Lordship of the Word of God!

There’s a kind of piousness that’s expected of a Christian. Your actions and choice of words should depict that you’re acquainted with the Holy Spirit. You may be a gifted individual, however if you’re not disciplined your gift wouldn’t achieve God’s desired objective. It makes no difference whether or not you’re gifted singer, preacher, teacher or prophet, if you don’t yield yourself to the tutorship or discipline of the Holy Spirit, He can’t work with you.

The first time Saul, king of Israel prophesied was after he was anointed by Samuel as king (1 Samuel 10:11). The next time he prophesied was after God had rejected him as king. According to the Bible, the Spirit of God had departed from him at that time, yet he prophesied like a prophet. He was rejected because he wasn’t disciplined! The fact that you’re still functioning in your gift doesn’t mean God is pleased with you. In other words, gift without discipline is worthless.

Your closeness to God isn’t evident in your use of religious terminologies or in the many words you use when you pray; rather, it’s whether or not God is pleased with you. The Bible tells us that an ass received a gift of revelation from God to warn the erring prophet, yet, it was just an animal (2 Peter 2:16). So you see, the kind of gift you’re operating in is not what matters the most to God. The important thing is to yield to the Holy Spirit, and submit to His training. The expression of the lifting nature of Christ in you is cultivated in your life as you yield yourself to the Holy Spirit. Let Him discipline you and bring out the character of Christ in your life.

Prayer!

Dear Heavenly Father! You are the Father of spirits therefore I yield to Your Spirit, and ask that You reprove my presumption, correct my mistakes and instruct me in your Holy Word, that I may be perfect and thoroughly furnished unto all good works, in Jesus Christ Name I pray! Amen!

In Christ Jesus!

In Christ Jesus!

Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21-22).

Everything you need for life and godliness has already been granted you in Christ Jesus.  Our Heavenly Father, through Christ has given you the best life-a life of victory, success, authority, joy, and laughter; a life void of sickness, diseases, poverty, defeat and death. Some people believe they have to suffer and settle for the lesser things in life. For them, it’s wrong to look good, wear nice things and live in a good home. They’re of the notion that if you live in poverty, you’ll go to heaven; but if you have all the nice things of life, you’ll probably go to hell.

That you have good things and enjoy a prosperous life on earth doesn’t mean you won’t make heaven. Some of the greatest men in heaven as revealed to us in the Word of God were men of means and of great substance while they were on earth. Talk about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and David; these were no paupers! They enjoyed their lives and subdued the world of their time. Living in poverty, sickness and defeat is not at all the yardstick for those who’ll go to heaven.

Understand the Will of God for your life; He made you after His own image and likeness, to live in dominion and exercise divine authority in the earth. The Bible talks about the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow (1 Peter 1:11)! That means now that you’re born again your life is for glory. There’s absolutely no need to live a defeated or miserable life. The Lord has perfected everything that concerns you; so go ahead, relish the moment and enjoy your life in Christ Jesus! Above all live a life of holiness (Matthew 5:48) and flee from every appearances of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22)

Prayer!

Dear Heavenly Father! I thank Yu for giving me all things to enjoy, having supplied all my needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Thank You for giving me such a glorious life of joy, peace, and laughter! I’m reigning in life by the power of The Holy Spirit! Conscious that Your divine power has given me all things that pertain to life and godliness, in Christ Jesus, Amen!

Have Childhood Wounds Contributed To Who You Are Today?

Have Childhood Wounds Contributed To Who You Are Today?

Jeremiah 32:17-19

So often when we deal with difficult people, it’s easy to form judgments about them based on their behaviour or attitudes. But have you ever stopped to wonder what has made that person so disagreeable or foolish? When the Bible says God “repays the iniquity of fathers into the bosom of their children” (v. 18),it is speaking about generational cycles of sin. Unless someone in the family line makes a deliberate choice to change, sinful and dysfunctional behaviour will be passed from parent to child for many generations.

This is really just a confirmation of the principle of sowing and reaping. We pass down standards for conduct and character traits that we received from our parents. If we are unwilling to change our sinful habits and attitudes, they will very likely find their way into our children’s lives.

What is true for sin is also true for wounding. When a child is emotionally bruised in the home, his behaviour and character may be negatively affected. With this in mind, think about a difficult person that you know. What hurts do you think shaped his or her life? A heart of compassion originates from a willingness to empathize with those who have been wounded. This doesn’t excuse someone’s sin, but it does aid in opening our hearts toward the individual.

What about you? Have childhood wounds contributed to who you are today? How have they affected your life? If you haven’t dealt with them, you’ll probably pass similar hurts down to your children. But with God’s help, you can break this cycle and begin a new one that will benefit future generations.

Why Am I Here?

Why Am I Here?

Acts 10:29

“Therefore I came without objection as soon as I was sent for. I ask, then, for what reason have you sent for me?”

NKJV

Peter asks a thought-provoking question in this passage. Why am I here? I think this is a great question to ask ourselves. We may say we are here to serve and love God and to serve and love others, but if we never take the time to really do these things, how important are they to us? I believe it is important to ask ourselves this question often and make decisions according to these priorities. I know I am guilty of getting caught up in things that don’t really matter and disregarding the things that really do matter. I find myself “majoring on the minors and minoring on the majors.” Jesus broke it down for us when He said, “Love God and love others.” It really can’t be explained any simpler than that. We should remember that Jesus did something extraordinary. He loved us by giving His life away. In doing that, He has shown us how to love others.

Life Lesson:We should be asking ourselves the question, why am I here?

The answers should be…

1) To love and serve God

2) To love and serve others

3) To show and tell others about Jesus  Christ

Prayer!

Dear Heavenly Father!

Help me to remember what is important. I get confused about my priorities sometimes. Please remind me through Bible teaching, Bible reading and the love and care of others, why I am here. Help me to take the time to remember these things. When it’s all said and done, only what I have done for You will last. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

NOMINAL CHRISTIANITY

NOMINAL CHRISTIANITY.

They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.

Titus 1:16

As I look at how many Christians react to the world today, I see so many of them targeting specific issues and saying, “See… if we could just change this, then our country would be in a whole lot better condition!” It’s almost as if they think our world and our faith are in jeopardy because of one single thing.

I agree completely with Billy Graham when he said, “The greatest threat to Christianity isn’t Communism or atheism; it’s Christians trying to get to heaven incognito without being involved in sharing their faith with others or serving the Lord with their whole hearts.”

Do you want to know what the greatest risk to our world and our faith is? A NOMINAL CHRISTIANITY. A Christianity that loves the sentiment of Sunday worship but hates the sacrifice of praise we’re to give through our spiritual service. That’s a consumer-driven Christianity… not the faith Jesus taught.

The answer to the world’s problems is for the Church to be THE CHURCH. It’s not about eradicating this or instituting that… it’s for the people of God to be the salt and light we’re commanded to be. Be THE TRUE CHURCH– not nominal believers. Love God and others well. You’ll be amazing how far it will go in solving the world’s problems.

BE THE SALT AND LIGHT GOD CALLS YOU TO BE BY BREAKING FREE OF NOMINAL CHRISTIANITY AND TRULY LOVING GOD AND OTHERS.

The Word Of God Is Guaranteed To Produce Results!

The Word Of God Is Guaranteed To Produce Results!

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ears unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health unto all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:20-22).

Do you realise that the Word of God is health to your body? In fact, in the marginal reference of some Bibles, the word “Medicine” is given as another synonym for the Hebrew word translated as “Health”. In other words, the Lord is telling us that His Word is medicine to our bodies. That means, if you take the Word of God into your spirit, it will produce health in your body. It will heal your body and get rid of the flu, the migraine headache or the cancer, and destroy every unwanted growth in your body.

Do you realise that the Word of God is guaranteed to produce results? The Word of God is effective and full of living power. Listen to God’s testimony about His Word: “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11). It’s important that you you’re your heart in place for the Word of God to influence you. Let the Word dominate you; let it gain the ascendancy and mastery in your life, and you’ll find that the Spirit of God will cause it to bring you life, health and prosperity.

The message of health and healing is coming to you right now, and it’ll produce health in your bones, purify your blood, heal your heart, cleanse your skin and get rid of any disease. All you have to do is open your heart and receive it by faith, and it will produce what it talks about in you.

Confessions

Dear Heavenly Father! I thank You for daily loading me with supernatural benefits and for giving me the advantage in life. I’m renewed, refreshed and positioned for the glorious life through the Word and the power of Your Spirit at work in me today.

Oh Lord, I thank You for Your Word that I received every day, which builds my spirit and transforms me from glory to glory. I live in health, peace and prosperity, and I’m programmed for an extraordinary life of dominion in Christ Jesus! Amen!!

Jesus bore my infirmities and carried my sorrows. He was pierced for my transgressions and cursed for my iniquities; the punishment that brought me peace and prosperity, and goodness was laid upon Him, and now I live the glory-filled-life. Hallelujah!

I am born of the Word of God; therefore, my life is the life of the Word of God! I’m the manifestation and expression of divinity. I go forth today, conscious of my identity as an offspring of the Word, with the incorruptible and ‘uninfectable’ life of God in my spirit and in my body.

I have the supernatural life of God in me! The resurrection life is at work in my spirit, soul and body! I walk in this newness of life, having put on the new man in Christ Jesus, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness! Amen!

You Are The Most Beautiful Thing In The World

You Are The Most Beautiful Thing In The World

So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him: male and female created He them”. (Genesis 1:27).

When you study the account of creation, you’ll notice that after God created everything from the first to the fifth day, He looked at what He had made and saw that it was good (Genesis 1:4-25); but on the sixth day, after He made man, the Bible says, “God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good….”  (Genesis 1:31).

Man was the crowning beauty of God’s creation – the consumption of His work and the cream of His creation. You’re the most beautiful thing in the world! The Psalmist understood this truth and declared in Psalm 50:2, “Out of Zion the perfection of beauty, God hath shined. He’s letting us know that God shines out of Zion. He demonstrates His beauty out of Zion, the city of His beloved people.

Understand this: you’re the perfection and epitome of beauty! Your life is full of the beauty and perfection of God. You’re too beautiful to be sick. You’re too beautiful for the down life! God created you for His glory, and not for poverty, sickness or infirmity.

The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:9that you ……Are A Chosen Generation, A Royal Priesthood, And Holy Nation,  A Peculiar People; That Ye Should Shew Forth The Praise Of Him Who Hath Called You Out Of Darkness Into His Marvellous Light.Check out God’s description of you in His Word! He says you’re Chosen, Royal and Peculiar. God chose you to be the one to show forth His praise and manifest His glory in the earth. You’re unique and special to Him.

You’re most cherished and celebrated of all His creation. No wonder James said,Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures (James 1:18). It means you’re the first and the best of everything that God made.

Amongst everything God created, you’re the most beautiful, for you’re the only one created in the image and likeness of God. God created you to look like Him and function like Him. You’re His excellent handiwork and His perfectly crafted masterpiece! With this understanding, the Psalmist proclaimed in Psalm 139:14: I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works…….”

You’re the best of all God’s creations. You must begin to walk, talk and live with the consciousness that you’re not an ordinary person; you’re beautiful and you’re a peculiar treasure to God Almighty! Hallelujah! Amen!

A Servant’s Heart .The Call To Serve

A Servant’s Heart .The Call To Serve

Philippians 2:7-9:  7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature[a] of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man,

    he humbled himself

    by becoming obedient to death—

even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place

and gave him the name that is above every name,

When it comes to serving in the church, people rarely request positions where they will go unnoticed. They usually ask to be involved in a place of leadership.

Now, there is nothing wrong with heading a committee. But God calls us to have a servant’s heart: He desires that our motive be to glorify Him, not ourselves.

Over the years, I’ve had many conversations with young men studying at seminary. Countless times, they share the desire to lead a sizable church. And those who are called to a small congregation frequently struggle with feelings of insignificance.

My encouragement to them is this: In His great love, God places us where He wants us to serve, and every task we undertake should be given our all, whether there’s one person listening or a multitude. We ultimately serve Jesus, and He is not concerned with the recognition we receive. He desires our obedience and our best effort. This is true not just for pastors but for all believers.

There are many reasons the Lord calls us to serve. First, He rids us of pride and selfishness, allowing our focus to be on Him. Second, we proclaim our love for Christ through our care for one another. Third, God tests and purifies our hearts through service.

How do you define success? A common response is “achieving predetermined goals.” Scripture’s definition, however, is different. The Lord desires that we discover His plan, obey, and become all that He intended. In other words, for success in the biblical sense, God sets the goals.

What Lies Are You Believing?

What Lies Are You Believing?

By Dr. Caroline Leaf

“What lies are you believing?’ The enemy has no power except to lie…and a lie has no substance because it hasn’t happened yet!

In science, something that hasn’t happened yet is called a probability. Every day as we make multiple decisions about the events and circumstances of life, we have to choose from amongst multiple probabilities. And these probabilities are either following God’s way or the enemy’s way…there is no in between.

When we choose to believe the lie, which is the probability, then the lie becomes a reality, an actual physical thought. According to science and Scripture: “as a man thinks in his heart. so is he(Proverbs 23:7).So we act and talk from our thoughts – the thoughts are the roots, and if they are lies we are acting upon lies!

When we choose God’s probabilities, we choose life and the correct version of Hebrews 11:1 kicks in; when we choose the enemy’s probabilities, we choose death and Hebrews 11:1 in reverse kicks in.

In choosing the lie of the enemy, we create evil. He has no power so he has to convince us to choose wrong and when we do, we create evil!

But The People That Do Know Their God Shall Be Strong, And Do Exploits !

But The People That Do Know Their God Shall Be Strong, And Do Exploits !

“but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits”. Daniel 11:32

The body of Christ today is suffering because we have a lot of children in church know you have been in church for two, four, six or ten years, but the issue is what is your growth rate. What impact is the word you are receiving making in your life. What changes are taking place? Until there is a change, God cannot entrust you with all that He has for you. You must not pass through this life as one with the potential to become but never became. Don’t pass through this life with ability that is not manifested. Dare to do the impossible.

When God led David to confront Goliath, it was an impossible situation because by all standards, based on human calculations, David was in no way a match for Goliath. Let’s take a brief look at Goliath: he was a man of war from his youth, he possessed all the required skills for combat, was a giant over 12 feet tall and had all the necessary weaponry for both defence and assault, which all combined to give him an intimidating posture. But David was just a shepherd boy, leading sheep at the backside of the desert, never fought a battle, not in the army, untrained in warfare and only had a staff, a sling and a little shepherd’s bag.

I believe you will agree with me that he was in every way disadvantaged as far as man was concerned. But the truth is that when God leads you into an impossible situation, He will fight the battle for you. This shows that impossible situations are opportunities for your potential to manifest. But until you understand this, it will never happen. This means that there is an urgent need for you to grow in your understanding of the God that you serve. The text today says when you know your God, you will do exploits or the impossible; I dare you to attempt the impossible today and it will shock you how much God can accomplish through your hands.
